Amazing

Petalle (Midlands, England) on Feb 28, 2026

I don’t know where to start to describe this amazing place! I’ve never stayed somewhere the tour guide had to give us a guided tour of the hotel! I was in the Cascades section which has a huge garden with waterfalls, even a boat ride, and often live music. There are multiple places to eat and buy food. I got an excellent choice from Coffee Bean for my breakfasts. There are also lots of great shops. In spite of the huge size of the hotel, it was fairly easy to navigate once I got my bearings. The room itself was nice although with view of the car park, but didn’t spend much time there with so much going on. The bathroom was small with one sink in there and one in room. There wasn’t much room to get dry after shower. Hair dryer very scruffy, well-used. I slept with light on under tv as couldn’t see where to switch it off - and one of the bedside lamps came on in the night! But overall this really was a most amazing, enjoyable place to stay.

Beautiful Resort, But For the Price… We Expected More

WorriesEmpty (Hudson, Florida) on Feb 28, 2026

We recently stayed at Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville for four days while my husband attended a work conference. The total cost for five days was $2,197 (thankfully his job covered the room), and with that price tag, we truly expected the room to be in absolute tip-top shape. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful — the indoor gardens, waterfalls, and overall atmosphere are impressive and truly unique. The staff throughout the property were generally friendly and accommodating. However, I did have a small communication issue at the beginning of our stay. I initially asked the housekeeper who was cleaning our room if I could get a fan due to my night sweats. She wasn’t able to understand me, so I pulled out my translator app on my phone to explain that I needed a fan. She told me no. I then called the front desk directly, and they promptly sent a fan up to the room without any issue. I appreciated how quickly the front desk handled it, but it was a bit frustrating having to navigate that situation. The room itself felt somewhat worn. Some of the furniture showed noticeable wear and tear, which surprised us considering the cost of the stay. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and we slept well. Unfortunately, the towels were extremely rough — not what you’d expect from a resort at this price point. There are several restaurants on property, which is convenient, but they are definitely pricey. Drinks throughout the resort are also expensive. We stopped by the Falls Bar where there was live music from a single performer, which added a nice touch. That said, we wished there were more live music options throughout different areas of the resort to really embrace the Nashville vibe. I also treated myself to a facial massage at the spa. The staff there were wonderful, and I truly enjoyed the experience. They even provided a military discount, which was greatly appreciated. Overall, the resort is beautiful and the atmosphere is impressive. The staff, especially at the front desk and spa, were kind and professional. But at nearly $2,200 for five days, we expected the rooms and small details (like furniture condition and towel quality) to better reflect the luxury price tag. Would we return? Possibly — but most likely if work was covering the stay again.
