I will start with most of the staff were amazing, the issues with this resort are clearly a lack of money and management. Extremely disappointed with our recent stay. Check-in was delayed because our room was undergoing repairs, we finally got into a new room which was nicer than the original , there was no hot water or coffee for 2 days, we finally got the cofee but it took three days to get a water reservoir to make it. I asked for a bottle of water and was told only in my room. The dining experience was very frustrating, the specialty restaurants had a maximum of 10 tables occupied a night yet we were told no reservations were available. Once we got to The fish house it was a great experience. “Mole and tacos”on the other hand was inedible. Resigned to the buffet, a couple of staff was rude and the food was extremely sub-par, we were told we “forbidden” take a simple snack of 4 ribs from the buffet to our room and told to pay for room service instead. Meanwhile others were taking plates full of desserts to their room. The great location of the property made it convenient to eat elsewhere. For the price, the hotel was run down and very lacking. We have been to Mexico many times and this resort was hands down the worst.

The property is nice, rooms are average. I was surprised that they have different levels of "all inclusive". They have different packages that I was not aware of when making the reservation. This put several restaurants off the list of what you get in the package. You can still dine there...just pay..so not all inclusive. Also, we paid for an Ocean View Package and got a garden view. Yes, we could slide over to the corner of the patio & get a glimpse of the ocean...but that is not ocean view to me...which is only a big deal because we paid extra for this & they do have those rooms that look directly out to the ocean. The staff works hard, but had a couple of occasions where they weren't very friendly. It is very near the Marina which has alot of bars & restaurants (sort of defeats the need to pay for all inclusive) which was pretty nice.

We really enjoyed my stay at Meliá! Food was always in variety and flavorful. Raul (my fav) and Darniel at the pool bars were always very polite, attentive, and fun! Clean rooms and staff. Overall great ambiance, highly recommend !

When we arrived at the resort the bellman, took our luggage and bags out of the taxi. He then asked for our names and checked his list and said come with me. We were taken to an office where we were introduced to a young man I believe his name was Joquin who checked us in and provided us with excellent information about the resort, its amenities and restaurants. The room we had was a beautiful room with magnificent view of the ocean and the town centre. Our first night we had dinner at the Fish House Restaurant, the service was fantastic but the meal fell short of a 4 star resort, as the fish was a tad dry and the chicken was slightly overcooked. For breakfast we went to Mole & Tacos, fantastic service and excellent cooked to perfection breakfast, we would like to commend and thank Karen, Porfirio and Teran for awesome service, they made our mornings, thank you. The evening entertainment consisted of a 9 member mariachi band, they were great. Check out was smooth. Overall, this is a a very nice resort and we will definitely be back.
