We decided to stay in Ontario and visit Ottawa. We had chosen the gold level accommodation and were upgraded to a larger room the Parliament Suite which was very spacious. We could view the Ottawa River, Parliament Hill and Hull, Quebec. We enjoyed the gold level lounge which we had the breakfast and evening canapés.

The tour was fabulous! Very interesting and informative. A beautiful and historical piece of architecture!!! The tour guide Emily however, needs to reconsider her attire (wore nylons/tights on an extremely hot day). She was constantly pulling, prodding and poking at herself. It was in poor taste and very distracting for myself as a guest.

Title says it all. I checked out at 1am in the first night of my 3 night reservation. The room I was staying in was tiny and dingy with cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. In the middle of night, I turned on a light and saw beetle like creatures emerge from the crown molding. I packed my bags as quickly as I could and left. I returned to the hotel for a business conference a day later, and found a live cockroach on my breakfast plate.

Stayed for one night and the room was OK. The bathroom was tiny and the bath and shower were old. the dinner we had at Zoes was just very disappointing. Very slow service which spoiled the experience even though the food was quite good. At the end we were forgotten and never got our coffee and desert! When we finally got up from the table in frustration, we paid the bill and went to our room. Five minutes the waiter arrived at the door with the coffee and desert. This did not really help. Poor service. The brunch the next morning for $42 was just not worth it. Cold coffee, cold food and poor service.

We had afternoon tea with two young children. The price for kids is cheaper, but the adult price is quite expensive at double the kids’ price. Right away we were offered a glass of bubbly; we figured it was to put up the total price! The sandwiches and cakes were presented really well, and someone from the kitchen ran through what they all were. When one of the kids asked me what was in one of the squares, I asked our waitress. She replied that we had been told that by the other lady! Well - we had forgotten! She went to talk to another waitress, and I thought she would be asking her - but it looked like they were laughing at us. At the end of the meal, the waitress brought the charge machine, told me I could adjust for the tip, and tap to pay. - I didn’t know what I was paying for! It was a shame that there wasn’t a more professional and friendly waitress, especially with excited kids.
