Average accommodation, rude staff. Wouldn’t rate it more than 3* Fighting for sun loungers every day, even in premium. Staff were very rude and not helpful Food was good!

Great place for a family vacation

My family and I(6 adults and 2 toddlers) just returned from having a great time at the Dreams Onyx. We stayed in 3 preferred club swim out rooms on the river. These were the perfect room for us as we were able to put the toddlers down and still sit outside in the sun or relax outside at night with a monitor. Wait staff would also come by to take orders for drinks. Buildings 5 and 6 were close to the kids pool which seemed to be heated so we spent a lot of time around there as the kids loved it. The staff were always very friendly and helpful going out of their way to interact with the kids. The grounds were very clean and we never had issues with bugs. I do wish there was a little more wildlife around. We mostly ate breakfast in the buffet which had a wide variety from crepes to omelet stations to bakery products and it was all great but I also love buffets. We ate dinners in the specialty restaurants and found the French, Mexican, and Teppanyaki the best. Teppanyaki was real good but fast as we were in and out in an hour. We also ate the French restaurant at Breathless one night and that was excellent with a little different vibe as it is adults only. My son and I did a 2 tank dive from the SeaPro place at the beach and it was excellent. They take you by boat from the beach to sites 5-10 minutes offshore. The resort is not brand new and it could use some touching up but none of us had issues with it. I would not go here if I was looking for a wild time as it definitely had a family atmosphere.
Great resort, accommodated a large group with ease!

Travelled with a group of 18 (kids ranging from 12-20)...tons to do, all had a blast. The resort was clean, the staff was exceptional and the food was fantastic. The restaurants were able to accommodate our large group for dinners with very little wait time. The beach was clean and the beach staff was attentive. We enjoyed everything about our trip. Zero complaints!

Our stay was absolutely incredible and we loved every minute of it. The staff are the real heart of this place; they were so genuinely friendly and helpful that it made the whole atmosphere feel like home. We were really impressed with the food variety too, as every meal felt like a treat with so many great options to choose from. Waking up to the stunning view of the turquoise sea was the perfect reset, and the beach itself is just beautiful. Our room was massive, modern, and kept perfectly clean throughout our stay, which made it feel like a true luxury sanctuary. We’re already planning our next visit! We stayed a bit out of main route so no noise at all.
