We came over Christmas and there was “no reservations” at any restaurants but when you looked in there was plenty of empty tables. We ate at a buffet with sub par food nightly. Staff was either rude or always on their phones being inattentive. This wasn’t the first time staying at an all inclusive but it was the worst. Too many rules. Too many bossy workers. Would NEVER recommend this resort to people.

Our two butlers Manul and Sebastian went over and above for us when we stayed at Ventus Ha El Cid Marino and spa in Port Morales Mexico . This was our second visit to this resort. My husband and I went to celebrate my birthday.. Manuel and Sebastian always made sure that everything was perfect for us. They went all out to decorate my room for my birthday, which made my day even more special..

Edel and Rooster were downright rude to us - tried to ignore our golf cart request in a sneaky fashion. Most resort workers were on their cell phones most of the time and we felt like we were ‘bothering’ them just by being there. There are so many beautiful records in this part of the country; go somewhere else. Food was okay. So many rules. Hard to get dinner reservations, ATM machines down for 18 months I was told. Terrible experience.

Hugo Noah and Luis did an excellent job during our stay. They were attentive and efficient in every way always ready to help and make any and all changes. Its staff like this that makes guests want to return

My husband and I have discovered that El Cid Marina Spa and beach resort is a wonderful way to begin our Christmas season. This is our third time vacationing there in December. The weather is not under anyone's control, but usually includes several days of warm, not too humid temperatures. If it rains on you, then you can still go swimming or curl up with a book, a drink and a card game with new friends. While those activities are important, they are not what brings us back to the El Cid resort. It is the total atmosphere including the staff, the food, the property . This time our butlers were Erik and Leo. They arranged for dinner reservations, rides to some of the restaurants, and my hydro therapy spa appointments, plus other helpful assistance. There are 9 restaurants and each is 5 star. You can't go wrong with the food. The Christmas show and the Abba review show were just two of the shows during the week. Wonderful entertainment, all day entertainment. This was a fantastic break during the beginning of the winter season.
