*Tier Qualifying Spend on Redemption – 2022
The WestJet Tier Qualifying Spend on WestJet Dollars Redemption offer (the “Offer”) is available to WestJet Rewards members with Platinum, Gold or Silver WestJet Rewards status (each of Platinum, Gold or Silver WestJet Rewards status a “top tier” and individually or collectively “top-tier status”) as of September 6, 2022. Members who achieve top-tier status after September 6, 2022 will only become eligible once achieving a minimum of Silver status and only on travel completed after achieving top-tier status.
To participate in the Offer, eligible top-tier members must book eligible flights (as set out below) between September 6 and October 31, 2022 (the “Offer Period”) for travel between September 6 and December 31, 2022 (the “Travel Period”). The member’s 9-digit WestJet Rewards ID must be included on the booking(s). Offer valid on new bookings only.
Eligible top-tier members who redeem WestJet dollars during the Offer Period on eligible Economy, Premium, Business and Member Exclusive fares on WestJet-marketed flights flown during the Travel Period will be awarded with the equivalent amount in Tier Qualifying Spend (the “Offer Bonus”). This will be in addition to any Tier Qualifying Spend members would normally earn on WestJet-marketed flights flown as per the Reward Program Rules.
Eligible flights are WestJet-marketed flights purchased through a published base fare, and normally eligible for WestJet dollar accrual as per the Reward Program Rules. For the purposes of this Offer only, Member Exclusive fares are also eligible to earn Tier Qualifying Spend but are not eligible for WestJet dollar accrual as per the Reward Program Rules. A WestJet-marketed flight has a WS carrier code preceding the flight number (for example, WS 656, WS 3396). The flight may be operated by WestJet, WestJet Encore, WestJet Link by Pacific Coastal or a partner airline.
The following are not eligible for WestJet dollar accrual, nor for the Offer: Basic fares, contracted fares, tour operator fares, or any other reward program redemption.
WestJet dollar amounts redeemed on WestJet Vacations packages are excluded from this Offer. WestJet dollar accrual, Tier Qualifying Spend and Milestone Qualifying Spend on eligible WestJet Vacations packages will be awarded normally as per the Reward Program Rules.
The Offer Bonus resulting from this Offer will only be awarded to the top-tier member redeeming the WestJet dollars for the booking. The top-tier member will earn the Offer Bonus for the entire booking, not only the amount redeemed on their individual fare.
Members will earn Tier Qualifying Spend as per Reward Program Rules for portions paid with other eligible forms of payment.
The Offer Bonus will only be earned if the redeeming top-tier member is on the booking. For greater clarity, if the top-tier member does not travel on the booking, no Offer Bonus will be awarded.
The Offer Bonus amount on WestJet-marketed flights flown will be calculated separately from non-Offer Tier Qualifying Spend and awarded in a separate transaction and added to your total Tier Qualifying Spend. As an example, if you book a Premium fare for travel for four WestJet Rewards members on a single booking between Toronto and Calgary during the Offer Period where the base fare paid is $500 CAD per ticket and if the top-tier member redeems 800 WestJet dollars and pays the remaining $1,200 in cash, the top-tier member will earn $800 towards their Tier Qualifying Spend in the form of the Offer Bonus. Every WestJet Rewards member on the booking will also earn $300 (each member’s portion of the $1,200 remainder paid in cash) towards their Tier and Milestone Qualifying Spend as set out in the Reward Program Rules.
WestJet requires up to 45 days after all eligible flights on the booking are completed for Offer Bonus to be processed to your account.
If during the Offer Period you reach the total Tier Qualifying Spend to achieve a higher top tier ($5,000 for Gold, or $8,000 for Platinum), your account will be upgraded, and the benefits of that tier will be immediately available to you. You will retain these benefits for the remainder of the qualifying year ending December 31, 2022, and the entire next qualifying year ending December 31, 2023. To keep these benefits for a subsequent year, you will need to meet regular Tier Qualifying Spend requirements for Gold or Platinum tier status during the 2023 qualifying year, which commences on January 1, 2023.
The Offer Bonus accrued pursuant to this Offer counts towards obtaining tier status only; members will not receive any additional WestJet dollars, or any other incentives, as a result of this Offer.
Milestone awards are excluded from this Offer. The ability for any member to receive milestone awards, such as companion vouchers, is directly correlated to a member's Milestone Qualifying Spend at any point in time and will not change as a result of this Offer. Milestone awards will be awarded pursuant to the normal Milestone Qualifying Spend amounts set out in the Reward Program Rules.
The Offer Bonus accrued has no cash value and is subject to current Reward Program Rules.
The Offer may not be combined or used in conjunction with any other offer.
