Craig Maccubbin

Craig Maccubbin joined WestJet on April 24, 2017 as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO). Craig's journey from Southwest Airlines, where he was the Chief Technology Officer, to a smooth landing here at WestJet keeps him in an industry he truly loves. His career in senior leadership roles spans over 25 years, including CIO for Spirit Airlines, LasVegas.com and Black Entertainment Television. Craig still relies on some great advice from his Dad: “You can do anything that you set your mind to. It is only a matter of ‘will you do the work?'”

Craig is proud to have been a key player in the founding of the Aviation Information Sharing and Analysis Center (A-ISAC), a group focused on cyber threat intelligence sharing across the global aviation industry.

Craig is a photographer, a musician, and he collects first edition rare books.

Craig's favourite destination is Scotland because he enjoys visiting the ruins of the family castle, fishing for pike and salmon, meeting the wonderful people, and being in the most beautiful country.

Mark Porter

Executive Vice-President, People and Culture

Mark Porter

Mark Porter joined WestJet on October 26, 2015 as Executive Vice-President, People and Culture. Mark's arrival at WestJet is a return to the aviation industry. He worked at Bombardier as an aircraft engineer before transitioning to a role in human resources.

While he has many high-level professional accomplishments – which gives credit to the people surrounding him – Mark is proud to sit on the volunteer board for STARS Ambulance. STARS offer time, hope, and life-saving transport to critically ill and injured patients. In 2016-17, STARS flew 3,022 missions, carrying critically ill or injured patients.

Mark's favourite WestJet destination is Dublin, Ireland. Given that Mark comes from Ireland, perhaps there is a bias.
