My wife and I just returned from an 8 day holiday at the Sun Palace (one of Palace Resorts “Adults only” establishments). Having visited and stayed at all of the Palace resorts over the years we find the Sun to be one of their most tranquil and relaxing venues of all facilities and would encourage adults interested in a quiet and relaxing getaway, to give the Sun a try. It has a beautiful beach setting and offers the traditional Palace high standard in lodging, fine dining and spa amenities. For this past trip we would like to mention a few Sun employees who made our stay one of our best. These employees were our Diamond hosts Violeta and Rocio; Pool Concierges Danelle and Ricky; Aurora waiters Jesus and Juan; Thai waiter Steven and wine Sommeliers Kevin and Guillermo. ???? Sun Palace Cancun – Boutique Charm with Outstanding Staff HANDS DOWN, the staff make this resort unforgettable! Sun Palace is a beautiful, boutique-style property with a warm and intimate feel. ??? Rooms We stayed in Room 700, located at the end of the hall with no neighbors to the left. The room was bright, airy, and elegantly designed with double sinks, rich wood finishes, and two balconies—one small and one long. From here, we enjoyed a gorgeous lagoon view on one side and a partial ocean view on the other. The bed was extremely comfortable, and room service offered a wide variety of tasty options. ?? Dining The resort has four restaurants, each offering delicious meals. Fuegos, the steakhouse, was our favorite, while the Thai restaurant was also excellent. We only wished there were more options—perhaps a Mediterranean or Greek restaurant would be a perfect addition. ?? Beach & Pools The beach was lovely, but the pools are on the smaller side. There are two small pools that lose sun in the afternoon due to the building’s shade, and one larger “party pool” that fills up quickly. Expanding the pool area would make this resort truly exceptional. ? Coffee Shop Highlights The coffee shop team—Valeria, Eliseo, Ezuie, Daniela, and Ariadna—were simply the BEST! Their kindness, warmth, and conversation made visiting them a highlight of each day. And their lattes and cappuccinos were outstanding—some of the best we’ve ever had. Their desserts and ice cream were sooo good! ?? Exceptional Service • Denisse at check-in was thorough, helpful, and genuinely kind. • Angel, who assisted with our LeBlanc arrangements, was hilarious and made the process fun—he could easily do stand-up comedy! • The Lobby Bar bartenders crafted amazing, well-balanced cocktails that were both creative and delicious. ? My Final Thoughts Sun Palace Cancun is a gem for those who appreciate boutique-style resorts, personalized service, and great dining. With improvements to the pool area and the addition of another restaurant, it would easily reach the next level of excellence.

We had a wonderful stay at Sun Palace in Cancun! Our room was nicely appointed and very comfortable. Sun Palace has 4 great restaurants to choose from, and the food was fantastic at all of them. But most of all, ALL of the workers were very friendly and really made us want to return there for a future vacation.

The resort is clean and well maintained. The staff is very helpful and friendly. It was nice to see staff that we knew from last year and catch up with them. I wish there were more places to visit with resort credits. I believe that all shows at other Palace resorts should be payable with resort credits and the ride free of charge. After all, we are supposed to be "members of all the palace resorts".

We have not been to the Sun Palace since before covid and needed an adults only resort compared to our vacation in May… We appreciated the little updates done on the resort, nice carpeting to keep noise down from hallway, solid doors for room and bathroom, closed up between bed and sinks, large mirrors everywhere. Way better toilets. Of course with Palace resorts service is there number one draw. We are creatures of habit and beach bums. Beach service was great! Carlos and Silvio were the best all week! Had our drinks and food stat and could read our minds. The best lifeguard Danny, he was happy singing and took great pride in his beach, if we wanted a chair or umbrella he was on it. He could sense when someone was in trouble the water and was right there. His younger partner was just as great. Food gets better every time, Italian and Thai are my fave and everything and service great. We tried Fuego this time and probably my fave atmosphere, outside BBQ. So excited about the coffee and sweats place, had a Non milk caramel latte every day, very much like oatmilk, nice to have that option down here. And of course the spa, it’s small but always great. Salon great also, Brenda was my stone pedicure therapist and did great even rubbed my hands and FA cause I didn’t need a polish change. It is a small resort but great! And even a great over the water restaurant across the street that you can walk to.
