The People Who Made Our Vacation So Special ?? My wife and I just finished an incredible week, and while the resort itself was beautiful, it was the people who made this vacation truly unforgettable. We want to give a very special thank you to Danielle, Ivan, Jesus, and Pedro at the pool. Every day, they greeted us with smiles, took such great care of us, and made us feel like more than just guests. Their service and personalities were a huge part of why we enjoyed our week so much. Felipe, our concierge, was absolutely fantastic. He was always there when we needed him and made everything feel easy and stress-free. And then there was Alfredo at the bar. From the first drink to the last, he took great care of us. Those Espresso Martinis and perfectly mixed Margaritas became an important part of our vacation! We also have to give a special mention to Alfred, the pianist. We have heard a lot of great musicians over the years, but we honestly think Alfred is the best pianist in the entire world. His music made our evenings that much more memorable. As we were getting ready to leave, we watched the wedding party arrive and completely fill the resort with excitement and celebration. Congratulations to the newly married couple! We hope your life together is filled with as much happiness as you brought to the resort that day. To Danielle, Ivan, Jesus, Pedro, Felipe, Alfredo, Alfred, and everyone else who took care of us this week: thank you. You weren't just doing your jobs. You helped create memories that my wife and I will talk about for a very long time. From the drinks, the music, the pool, the laughs, and all the little moments in between, two people could not have asked for a better week. We came here for a vacation. We're leaving with memories and a whole lot of appreciation for the people who made it special. Until next time! ??????

As always, we enjoyed our stay. We did a weekend getaway from Friday to Monday. The resort wasn't crowded, but folks still felt the need to go down every morning, claim a lounge chair at 5 am, and not return until 11 am or 12 pm (annoying). They also leave their towels on the chairs when they leave, so folks think they are occupied when they are not. Basically, it's not much common courtesy. Fortunately, the Sun Palace has wonderful staff at the Pool/Snack Bar (Jesus, Daniella, Dino), Lobby Bar (Mike and Alfredo), Sweet & Coffee (Eric), and Aurora (Jesus).

Sun Palace is our fave resort in Cancun. You can hang out at the pools on the quiet/calm side or at the party pool with activities & swim up bar. The entertainment staff is so much fun & the spa is amazing. Additionally, the service is always impeccable but Juan in the Aurora restaurant is the absolute best! He is so personable and attentive & makes each meal memorable!

This was our third time at Sun Palace, and once again the staff made the trip. We stayed for a week, and everyone remembered our names, our favorite meals and drinks, and even when we were scheduled to leave. A huge thank you to Cristian, Adrian, Ale, Justino, and Eric in the Sweet and Coffee Shop for making our experience so memorable. When they learned it was my husband's birthday, Cristian had a cake made especially for him, thanked us for coming, and gave him a gift bag. We were so touched. Juan at Aurora restaurant was amazing. Even though it's a buffet, he carried plates back and forth to our table and took extra special care of us every day. One day he even gave me a key chain to show his appreciation. Roberto in Guest Services, who sits at the front by check-in, recognized and greeted us every single time we came by. He also talked us into attending a presentation, honestly warning us it was just a marketing pitch but asking us to please go anyway. We had a good laugh about that! We went, and to our surprise, it wasn't high pressure at all. We ended up buying, and we don't regret it one bit. At the Thai restaurant, I mentioned that I was cold, and our waitress (I wish I remembered her name!) brought out a warm poncho and wrapped it around me. That kind of attentive, thoughtful service is what sets this resort apart. I practically had to make the staff accept tips. They kept saying it was just their job, but they truly went above and beyond. The service is second to none, the facilities are very clean, and the people are wonderful. We will definitely be back!
