We kicked off 2026 with a week at Moon Palace Nizuc (January 2-9) and had a wonderful time. Our family of five, including three young boys, enjoyed the pool, beach, and arcade throughout our stay. The food and drinks were solid, and the resort had everything we needed. The real highlight was the Sunrise Playroom staff. I have to give a special shoutout to Fernanda and Shantel, who went above and beyond with our kids. When we first arrived, our boys wanted nothing to do with the kids' club. By our last day, they didn't want to leave. That kind of transformation doesn't happen by accident, it takes patience, creativity, and genuine care. The entire Sunrise Playroom team was fantastic, but Fernanda and Shantel truly made our vacation memorable. We would absolutely consider returning to Moon Palace. That said, we typically prefer smaller resorts like Beach Palace, so we'd likely try The Grand on our next visit to mix things up. Thank you to all the staff who made our trip enjoyable!

We loved the playroom - our kids (2, 5 and 7) could not leave! They have amazing activities scheduled every day as well as all the toys you can imagine. We love Andrea and Laura and Tessa and Alexa and Yessi and Miss G. Our kids remember Erika from last year and it was great to see her again too! This is an amazing resort especially if you have kids.

Best Ice Cream in Cancun!!!! Go see Ernesto. We came all the way from the Grand to find him. ???? We came all the way from California USA to see him. ??

Went with my husband and 3 kids over new years (5 nights). To say it was packed would be an understatement. It was insanely crowded. You had to get a buzzer to get a table at the buffet at 7pm on New Year’s Eve. The resort needs to do a better job of managing capacity at the restaurants and the pool when it’s that crowded. Not a chair to be found and really hard to get food. We got put in the golf course rooms, even though we didn’t book them (and were told those are more expensive rooms), but they are very far away from the main part of the resort. They give you a golf cart to use for your stay because it’s so far away, and you just have to figure out where you are going. It wasn’t ideal with 3 little kids. Also the temp of the room was always cool, but eventually though it wasn’t super hot or humid, the humidity in the room was insane. The sheets always felt wet and when I got home, all of the clothes in our suitcases were damp from the room humidity. A few positives- Ernesto with the ice cream truck by the pool is an amazing guy. My kids want to come back just to see him. And Eva (maybe Ava) at the kids spa did a fantastic job with the braids in my daughter’s hair. It’s been 6 days and they still look perfect One big downside, when I checked in, I didn’t bring the exact credit card that I booked the hotel with. So even though it was paid in full, they didn’t care and made me re pay with a new card and said a refund would be issued to the other payment. It’s been 20 days since then and I haven’t gotten a refund. Now I have to deal with my credit card company about it. Really ruins a vacation

Me and my wife did the kick boxing lesson at the Moon Palace Sunrise fitness center. Carlos our trainer was super amazing! He had the balance of being able to push us to our limits and was also kind enough to let us rest at times. His way of instructing was superb. All in all, we had an amazing time. We would definitely recommend this session to other guests.
