Wonderful Vacation
Gay J on Oct 12, 2024
We just returned from a week-long vacation at The Grand Moon Palace, and it was our third visit—by far the best one yet. Our Diamond Concierge, Mariana Trejo Perea, made sure every detail of our stay was perfectly arranged. Our butlers, Tony and Edward, were exceptional, handling every need with professionalism and always checking in with a cheerful attitude. They truly made us feel well cared for. The pool concierge, Christina (I only caught one of their names, but both were fantastic), also provided excellent service. We were initially hesitant about going during hurricane season, but fortunately, we timed our visit between two recent storms. While we did experience rain most days, the low humidity and perfect temperatures more than made up for it. The resort was at low occupancy, which was another bonus. We highly recommend this resort and will definitely plan another trip during this time of year.

We have stayed at Nizu last year with family and children (ages 4 and 7) and this year are staying at the grand. Our favorite by far is Nizu. Samuel is AMAZING! BEST bartender by far! 100% recommend staying at the moon palace. & must go see Samuel!

Josue Pineda is literally the best, he made our whole trip! Honestly if you are considering coming here, do it for Josue!! Also ask for the scooby doo shot. You will not be disappointed! Pool is great. Beach is great. People are great. Josue is great.

Amazing stay

Not sure what people were expecting that wrote bad reviews, we have stayed in many hotels in Mexico and this hotel was fantastic, but you do have to avoid the timeshare sales on the first day, we checked in late so we were not hassled, they did phone the room and ask us to go to an orientation meeting, but we did not go, and we heard some stories of bad experience with the timeshare salespeople, which I think was tainting their experience at the resort, what do they expect trying to get something for nothing. Anyway, the food was excellent including the buffet (Nizuc), we tried many of the themed restaurants all very good, and the Italian at the Golf course was extra special. Pools are great, and the beach ok (you can't help nature, they were collecting seaweed all day every day) we had a beach-view room at the Nizuc and it was great. The staff were all excellent (except a sad-faced woman on check-in), even though we forgot to tip (Being British), some of the entertainment was good, the other as you would expect. Having a live band at the pool at lunchtime was very entertaining, and they were very good. All the alcohol is branded, and service by the pool and beach was very prompt, it is a very large complex and a long work in the heat, but you can use the many many buggies the have a sort of bus route around the complex and there a coach service every few minutes between the hotels, the buggy drivers will take you anywhere if you ask. Again I can't say how great the staff were, if I could remember their names I would name them all, i do remember a buggy driver Abraham who was friendly and helpful, and a man named Allan who topped up the drinks in the room going above and beyond The Nizuc is quieter than the sunrise but it was the pace we wanted. Even in September is was still 33 c . and the pool side staff made sure you had shade, drinks and food.
