Lack of customer service

Nee92sa on Mar 07, 2026

We are at sunrise. Hotel is a little outdated now. We have been disappointed by the customer service. One of the spa reservations staff was confused and told us we could use all the resort credits on massages and the salon. By the time it was all booked, my husband was not able to have a massage at the end as credit had run out for spa use. We told the manager that the staff member had told us we can use resort credits on both massages and salon treatment, but they apologised and said nothing can be done to rectify it other than a 40 percent discount. Even with this discount we cannot afford the massage- 320 dollars. Disappointed with this as my husband was excited to use the spa and have a massage even though it was the staffs fault for saying it was all booked and okay

Room to Room Noise is Terrible

Paul E on Mar 07, 2026

Lovely hotel but you hear everything from the room next door, talking, opening doors, baby crying, this is not what we would expect when you pay this amount of money for a hotel. We have paid a lot less and had nothing from next door. There are 8 couples here and every room is having the same issues . VERY DISAPPOINTED

Relaxing afternoon

Jen C on Mar 07, 2026

Came here for the Baltic pedicure treatment which included either gel or regular polish. We started off with cleaning toes in the pedicure area, followed by cooling gel and exfoliation on the legs as well as hot stones on the feet. Lorena, Dayana, and Fany were amazing. Definitely recommend for anyone visiting Moon Palace!

Old and tired with roaches

Brian N on Mar 07, 2026

We thought this would be a high end stay. Welp… We stayed at the Sunrise. My fault for not doing enough research but it is sprawling, with low rise buildings with open air corridors that give a motel vibe. That vibe was extended by the age and general lack of upkeep. We upgraded to a governors suite. The coach looked and smelled original. The freezer and fridge had previous occupants’ items. We had a roach in the bathroom but not to be outdone we had a roach in the spa at the Grand too. Complaining about anything was a waste of time. While expressing great concern about my stomach (I asked them or stop referencing at some point) they didn’t change our room or offer to take anything off, they offered to fumigate the room we were in. We declined. I was disappointed in the food other than a hibachi place though TBF my wife found the food OK. I got a gastrointestinal issue in the middle of my first night that persisted the entire trip. Was it the food/water? Not sure, no one else got sick but the timing felt suspicious. Anyway, the reviews are generally positive so maybe I’m being harsh but this wasn’t a cheap stay and I was roundly disappointed.
