So much potential, but…

Im wrapping up a week’s stay at the resort as I write this. I selected the Hilton due to having Diamond status and understanding that this location was clean, safe and offered a high level of service. If there was a 3.5 star, I would have selected it over a 4 rating. Reasons: I arrived to a 5-star day. Excellent check in process, great service & food from the Cocoban Restaurant and the views were incredible. Every room has a balcony that faces the ocean which means plenty of whale watching for this time of year. Unfortunately the decline in service began the next day. Food was inconsistent and served cold on a few occasions. The wait staff at two restaurants that we visited simply weren’t interested in being attentive or helpful. There was so much potential to be great, but the staff just fell short. The good: You really can’t beat the property or it’s location. There’s at least 300 yards of sandy beach, plenty of water sport activities, plenty of chairs / cabanas to rent and a quieter adult area nestled between a pool and the beach. I will say that the staff that tended the pool and beach areas were exceptional as well. In all, I think this hotel has the potential to be a legitimate 4 to 5 star resort. It’s just not there yet.

What an absolutely stunning hotel and spa. The location is in my opinion the best in Banderas bay with it own beach set away from other hotels it has an open feel but retains a level of privacy for hotel guests only.It has an amazing array of wildlife around this beach,pelicans perched on the rocks off the beach that calms the incoming surf,Whales swimming past as you eat breakfast,iguanas basking in the sun on the rocky shoreline. The staff are very very professional from reception to the bar staff and beach/pool waiters. The Restaurants are of a very high standard and the food is amazing. A special mention to Odeth(martini lounge) Hugo (cocktails)and Marcos(all things eggs)fantastic service, thank you!! All in all a brilliant experience would highly recommend going there . All in all
