Each unit is different, ours this time was showing it's use.
Kitchen was less equipped than the one we had on our last stay here. Mattress was a little saggy in the middle, made for togetherness.
The ABC market place store is really nice with a great deli just across the street. Lygate Park is close and nice.

I usually stay at a different location with my family. This was a friend get away and so we stayed here. It is more budget friendly and it was clean. The location is convenient and walkable. The beach is accessible via a pathway though a field. I could not hear any waves, but could see the water. I did not use the pool or hot tub, but there are several on the back of the complex, not the ocean side. The room was well equipped with basics. No dishwasher. The aesthetics like carpet and shower needed an upgrade but there were no smells or anything, they were clean. The front desk personnel were kind and helpful and helped with suggestions and were responsive to our one internet issue, fixing it the same day.
Very nice vacation spot!

First trip to Kauai and Plantation Hale was a really nice spot. Clean room, good internet and TV. Nice kitchen - would have been great with kids. Ample parking and the pool and hot tub were clean. Would recommend for families.
Nice property, but had a problem and it was never resolved after 10 nights

Great location. Great property. If you want a place with a kitchen, a pool, a hot tub, and a reasonable walk to the beach, this is a great spot. Also nice to be close to the airport. The unit was fine and I couldn't really expect more for the price. However, the unit above us had a very leaky air conditioner, which dripped continuously onto our air conditioner a story below, so we had to hear that all night, every night. I made five complaints (yes, five) and I got a runaround each time. They were friendly enough and full of aloha when I delicately complained, but nobody at Plantation Hale did anything to rectify the situation because the unit above us is privately owned and operated by the HOA, and therefore not part of the "resort." I also spoke with the HOA and they didn't care because we were guests of the resort. Either way, it wasn't handled by either party so we had to listen to drops of water falling ten feet onto a steel enclosure directly into the bedroom, all night, for almost two weeks. The problem was understandable. The way it was handled was definitely not. I'm not expecting the Marriott here, but I do expect to be able to sleep without earplugs. I would give this place 4.5 stars and we would love to come back if they made even the slightest effort to resolve our issue. But sorry 3 stars. Love Kauai.
Not worth it

First of all every bit of information on here and that was emailed said check in was at 3 and out at 12 but when we arrived we were told check in is at 4 and out at 11. They allowed us to wait by the pool and at 4 I went back to check in only to be informed that one of the rooms STILL was not ready. We waited another hour and 20min. While waiting I contacted the host which seemed to be some in between contact as they were USELESS and just kept contacting the front desk. They said all they could do is wave out checkout $30 fee. One of our rooms was VERY poorly cleaned! For $500 a night this was COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. I will continue to try to speak to someone who’s actually in charge for sometime of compensation. Either way I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL! Also one of the receptionist was EXTREMELY rude.
