Central to everything

Plantation Hale in Kapaa is centrally located for those exploring the whole Island; east coast, north coast, south coast and Waimea canyon all within an hour drive or so. Locals so friendly as we used local gyms and churches. The Hale was good value, clean, easy parking, close to restaurants and shopping and the beach. Very family friendly and grounds and pool are well kept. Took our used towels into the office nearly every day for exchange for fresh towels, picked up extras when ever we needed it...shampoo, garbage bags, coffee, etc. Would definitely come back to Plantation Hale.
Terrible

Upon arrival, I discovered a blood stain and a sticker with hair on the duvet cover. Despite the room rate being nearly $300 a night, there was no staff available on the property to address the issue or change the linens after 5:00 PM. This level of service is significantly below the expected standard.
Good stay overall

Overall we had a very good stay. The room was clean, the beds comfortable and the property was quick to respond to issues and provide us with some missing basic items in the kitchen. The room was quiet and had a nice view and the beach is a 5 minute walk. Shops and restaurants are very close by and convenient. The kitchen lacked basic food items like oil and vinegar, but we were provided with some sugar packets and a mini shaker of salt and pepper, about two teaspoons each. The pool was nice, but lack of barbeque utensils meant we could not use the barbeque. Laundry uses an app, and you have to load $10; we only used $3.
nice place, a little dated, but nice. did not like the virtual front desk and couldnt leave our luggage after check out

the place is nice and well located. the apartment was ok, a little dated, but comfortable. having parking place in front of the unit is possitive, but did not like the virtual front desk experience. you receive an email with the acces codes ( we received it after arriving the property not knowing where to find the guest services office, which is the mall near the apartment, but was not easy to find), and you need to remember a 6 figure number to access the room otherwise you have to check it every time you need it. (the pool acces code is a 9 figure number). the dont offer luggage deposit, which was a problem cause our flight departed 8 pm and we had to tour the island the rest of the day with it and all our valuables with us.
Misleading

Be aware the hotel does not have a traditional front desk. If you don't receive information before your trip, you will not be able to access your room. Also, they do not have an elevator so if you are on the second floor you will have to carry your luggage up the stairs. Also, the unit only has 1 noisy window a/c unit which is not suitable for the entire unit.
