“Sadly Mismanaged”
ginamartinez99 (Hermosa Beach, California) on Jun 22, 2022
Maybe it’s not yet ready for tourism? But this property was a Huge disappointment. No Housekeeping? No room service? No minibar? Gates to get into the pool with code, can’t access beach without going through the pool? “Oasis”Restaurant only open 3-9? No breakfast offered, No lunch On a positive note: the food in “Oasis” is phenomenal! Happy hour is nice if you can get in, music was lovely when they have it. So, it’s got a long way to go before I would ever stay here again. Hope it can recover from Covid.
Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all cost. This is the worst “hotel” experience I’ve ever had. Our washing machine is full of deadly black mold. The elevator safety bar flung off and I went flying down hard. The people at the pool told us we have to wash our own towels. And the front desk claims innocence because “the hoa runs everything.” Well the hoa doesn’t run the black mold washing machine and our clothes are ruined. I can’t move as my back is out from the elevator fall. This hotel is a 2 star piece of crap. Never have I ever been more disappointed and digusted by a property. The reviews that claim this is a 4.5 star are clearly just made up. There’s no restaurant for the pool. There’s nobody to help with luggage. The beds are hard as rocks and the people working here are rude. I’m writing this to save others from booking this piece of crap full of mold, no help given, elevator back ruining piece of crap hotel.
Fantastic Stay! - right on the beach.

We spent 7 days there- Sunday to Sunday- Ground floor suite- opened up to a lanai, manicured grass with nothing between us and the beach. Right next to the bar and grill (which is very popular) just off of the pool. Very clean, well maintained salt water pool/ hot tubs area. If you want to lay out, there is plenty of room. The suites had a kitchen between them, large rooms and soaker tub/showers. Security on site, no issues with rowdy's. I have to say, for a first timer, we really enjoyed our stay there, Bike rentals in the lobby, if you wait long enough for someone to show up. Well worth it- and walking distance to whatever you need. I attached a photo from an upper floor room. Yes, that's the pool. We will be back.
Amazing stay--Waipouli Beach Resort

Second week at the Waipouli, gorgeous setting right next to the beach; monk seals abound!. Rooms were super well appointed with great cookware and the beds are very comfortable . Suite (H building) stocked with boogie boards and kick boards, right next to my fave restaurant the Oasis and across the street from Safeway. We enjoyed Princeville, Hanlei, Botanical gardens and Lihue, Hualani's at Timbers, CJM Stables horse back riding, Poipu beaches, Lawai Buddhist temple, Lihue farmer's market with amazing pineapple, and the tree tunnel. All mid-island from Waipouli! Staff amiable and helpful and we were sad to leave after a week--it is an amazing property with high end natural beauty and lush comfort. Candace from Kauai Calls set your heart free-accomodating and responsive--Highly recommend
Amazing unit!

We stayed in unit C402. The decor is all updated and the kitchen was fully stocked with new appliances and pot and pans. Huge new fridge, lots of beach toys provided. First class all the way! The only downside is the beach is pretty rocky when you Wade out.
