Excellent Location

vwp (Onancock, Virginia) on Aug 21, 2024

We were in B404 for a week. I enjoyed the lanai overlooking the pool. The pool area is beautiful by the way, many water features and lovely plantings. The only problem we had with the condo is that building B has no elevator, you have to walk to the other end of C, go up, walk through the entire hallway of C, across to B, and down that hall. I am challenged walking but there was no mention of this before renting. There should be. The unit was nice, but no extras like toys or beach chairs that some mention. Safeway is across the street, as well as good shave ice and sushi. All in all it was a very pleasant week.

Not a resort. This is a condo community

AliciaKod (Wilmington, Delaware) on Aug 01, 2024

This place is not a resort (to me a resort has housekeeping, pool bars, activities like yoga/exercise classes and pool attendants). This is a condo community like you see at the Delaware or New Jersey beaches. It's kind of like a VRBO. The pool area was very pretty. Units are individually owned and ours was nice. It had 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a sofa bed. It is not a super old building but the upkeep of the main areas left much to be desired. There were torn rugs, chipped tiles and one day on the walk to take out my trash there was a giant roach on the wall on the 2nd floor hallway of building D. The stairwells had an old food/garlic smell that wasn't pleasant. I booked thru Costco and I blame them for not being clear about what this was, but the place shouldn't call themselves a resort either. I do not go on vacation to cook and clean while I'm there. We were given a bath towel for each person upon arrival and told we could wash them ourselves in the unit washer/dryer - we do not get fresh ones. You need to take out your own trash to an area on your floor. I believe if you needed more trash bags or toilet paper you could go to the front desk and ask. We were there 4 nights and had enough in the room. They were especially stingy with the pool towels - you were given one each per day. So if you went to the beach or got it really wet early on that day you were still stuck with it until the next day. Office staff was very pleasant and a bright spot to our stay. Location is great. You are in the South east of the island and can easily go North or west to attractions. Supermarket was a walk across the street. Beach was rocky and a bit rough with no guards. So, it was pretty too look at but not very safe to go in. They left some lounge chairs piled up at the top of the beach you could drag out and use.

One of Kauai’s Beat Reaorts

Rich K on Jun 28, 2024

We spent 10 days in Hawaii and this was the second of two islands we visited. I would like to start by saying this place is wonderful. The staff is a pleasant to deal with. They’re so friendly and their aim is to make sure you relax and enjoy your stay. Upon arrival, our room wasn’t ready, because our flight was changed to three hours earlier, but the staff said they would call us when the room was ready. An hour later we got the call. When we got into our room, we were amazed at the size and functionality of the room. Our room faced the beach, which was a huge bonus for us. We had two bedrooms, two and one half baths, full kitchen with dishwasher, and a washer and dryer. Both bathrooms had jetted tubs and separate showers. We had a combined living room and dining area, with a pullout bed. Three sliding doors which two of the doors led to a balcony facing the beach. The room was fully furnished with the master having a king bed, the second room had two twin beds. Each room had its own television, so we didn’t have to disagree on what to watch. The room also had a few board games to play with family. The kitchen was huge. It has a full range and oven with a microwave, dishwasher and disposal. There was also a full size double door fridge. Plenty of storage for the week of food we purchased. The room also had plates, utensils, bowls, knives, etc for cooking in the room. ( You’d need to purchase dishwasher packs , as well as laundry soap, as these weren’t provided, well, one pack was provided). There was also a fitness room, but who wants to workout on vacation! It was large with up to date equipment. There was a huge pool area with several jacuzzi’s. This area was made for families and adults in mind. They provided the towels at the pool. It also had a grilling area, which I wish I would have used. There is an onsite restaurant, which I didn’t use as it was closed upon arrival and we just chose to do other things for meals. It was a very nice restaurant with a great menu. The grounds were kept up and were lovely to look at. They had lots of flowers, which added to the beauty of the island. They was also a koi pond as you left the main building and followed the walk way to the pool. The staff was great. The grounds and amenities were sufficient. There is an onsite spa area and concierge for use. Overall a real beautiful island and beautiful resort. I would highly recommend staying here, as it is only minutes from the airport and shopping. We do plan to visit this island in the future and would most likely choose this place again.

WBR is the most amazing property in all of Kauai.

Vacationer803291 (chicago) on Jun 27, 2024

WBR is the most amazing property in all of Kauai. We have stayed here twice and will never stay anywhere else. The location is perfection to access the whole island. The pool is the very best with a lazy river to walk, a waterfall grotto, slides, sand water beach for the kids, sand bottom hot tubs. The beach is perfect to sunbathing, walking, and visiting a resident monk seal. Unit E404 is in pristine condition, with gorgeous views, and a fully stocked kitchen. It's very large, beautiful, and comfortable and we really loved having a washer and dryer. The AC is primo! We book through the VRBO, not the hotel area.

Terrible

U3613AMchristines (Sewell, New Jersey) on Jun 16, 2024

Worse service I have ever experienced in a 4 star resort. The website is, without being nasty, totally inaccurate. The pool is not heated nor is it a salt water pool. Services both front desk and maintenance stops at 7 PM and does not start back up till 8 AM. If you require assistance, you are out of luck. The one and only restsurant and bar does not open till 4 PM. If you sit at the pool...no service for food or drink till then. Don't try talking to the front desk because they truly don't care to help. None of this information is on the website.
