My family enjoyed our stay at this iconic hotel. There are three towers in this hotel. We stayed in the Fantasy tower and had a great view of the Disneyland fireworks. Plus 2 great restaurants to enjoy. The pools and slides made for a great escape on the hottest days of the trip. P.s.: Channel 16 has the fireworks show audio playing in your room during the fireworks display.

WOW. We were really impressed by the Disneyland Hotel. We're definitely snobs when it comes to hotels, and expect the best. Disney did not disappoint, giving us a magical experience throughout our stay. Check-In: We decided to do valet, and it was as expected - a lot of eager help, happy workers, and an easy experience. The check-in line was fairly long when we got there, but they had numerous workers manning the desk so it wasn't too bad. Our check-in experience was very smooth and everything was ready to go for us. Pleasant experience. Hotel: The hotel, while slightly dated, still has a great setup, including restaurants, gift shops, AMAZING pools (noted later in this review), and a great location, at one end of Downtown Disney. Room: Our room was really nice, with some cute Disney touches throughout. We had a great view of the pool, although next time I don't think we'll spend extra $$ for a higher room - it's really not necessary. Restaurants: The restaurants in the Disneyland Hotel are really good, especially the ones at poolside (pool service also delivers from them). Goofy's Kitchen is an excellent buffet-style character themed restaurant as well. TIP: The small ice cream and snack shop near the pools sells Dole Whips. YES, you read that right - DOLE WHIPS. Pool: The pools at the hotel are really nice, warm, not too deep, with plenty of room for everyone. There are a lot of chairs around the pools, but people definitely reserve them early so get out there as soon as you can if you're planning on a pool day! Location: The hotel is right at one end of Downtown Disney, and is roughly a 15-20 minute walk to Disneyland's main gates. They have changed around security at Disneyland, so the security line is now right outside the Disneyland Hotel, at the entrance to Downtown Disney. No special entrances for hotel guests either, but the line moves pretty quick. Overall, we loved this hotel, and will DEFINITELY be staying here on our next trips to Disneyland. Really impressed with how well Disney treats their guests!

Everybody was so Friendly, from check-in to those hospitality workers that make sure your room stays fresh and clean. The Hotel itself was immaculate - I Love it there. The Pool area was very clean and personnel always present. The Hotel is at the end of Downtown Disney - which makes for Good Shopping on the way to Disneyland/California Adventure or do it on the way back. I Love being able to go to Disney and being able to take a short walk vs having to drive home or to another hotel.

    Average hotel with expensive rates

Two night stay in a hotel built when Disney was a great adventure. It has been now outstripped by much better hotels for much less money. A two nite stay was more that 4 nights in a better hotel on Coronado Island!. Hotel needs some real work to update it. I haven't been in a hotel lately that was luxury level that had a shower/ bathtub combination!!. Baths are small. Rooms average size. Staff, and there are lots of them are most helpful. The only advantage to staying here is you can walk to the theme parks and you can get in 1 hour before the park opens to the general public.

We decided to stay here due to the age of our youngest children 3 & 4 and for them to get the complete Disney experience. However, it wasn’t as close to Disneyland as what we thought a good 15min walk, you could take the monorail but that seem to take longer sometimes, and to be honest I can’t say it provided a better experience. The Hotel itself was clean and comfortable it had a swimming pool with a great kids area with slide and a shallow pool to play in. They also have Goofy’s Kitchen at this Hotel which we did for lunch with the Disney characters the kids loved this and the food was good, however you don’t need to be staying at the Hotel to attend Goofy’s Kitchen. It’s expensive to stay here and to be honest you spend your entire day at Disneyland and don’t really spend a lot of time at the Hotel only to sleep. Consider your options we had older children with us and I booked them a Hotel Hyatt House Anaheim this was a lot better value and a great location.
