Many hotels are the same and this place is no different. Despite the hefty price tag the location and proximity to the Disneyland parks could be considered almost worth it. The restaurants are ridiculously expensive so I would give them a miss. Once you’ve checked in you don’t see the staff again until check out. The only thing that is different to any other hotel is the Disney inspired fittings and fixtures ie sink, bath and mirrors. Pros: location, light behind the bed head Cons: $$$, food on offer, lack of real hospitality during the stay

Will recommend this hotel to anyone with kids

This was our 2nd time visiting Disneyland and we loved that this hotel is just right next to Disneyland. The monorail is a 3-minute walk from the hotel. We were able to watch the fireworks from our hotel room every night during our stay. The room is plenty big to sleep the 5 of us and to store our big luggages. There is a laundry room by Goofy's Kitchen, with about 8 washers and 8 dryers, all operated by debit/credit card. This was essential as we had 3 little kids for a few days at Disneyland.

Comfortable sleep and Disney filled Experience!

It's Disneyland...how much time do you spend in your room?!? I'd read some reviews and was concerned the bed wouldn't be comfortable...it was DREAMY (literally) with fun headboard. The walk to Disneyland is as far as if you stayed out on the main hotel drive, and the Monorail CLOSES if it's too hot (we stayed her summer 2018). The Monorail was closed frequently, so we had to walk back through downtown Disney. Many places were closed for the now defunct plan of a new hotel. So...end of the walk was non-functional eateries. I LOVED the proximity to Trader Sam's and the pools were lovely. The room was functional, nice to have the sink separate from shower/toilet so one person could shower while the other did make-up, brushed teeth, etc. We had a small balcony overlooking parking lot, but it was nice to open it up so see how hot it was outside already...lol... We had one issue with housekeeping. Wish we would have called on arrival and set up early housekeeping. Since we left the hotel at about 6:30 AM every day it was disappointing to come back to an unmade room at 2:00. Around day 4 they corrected that and the rest of the stay was great. If you're on a budget I'd shop around. Lots of other great hotels in the area.

As always we had another fantastic stay at the Disneyland Hotel. They know how to run this place. The service is top notch. The food delivery room service for breakfast was perfect and the rooms are spacious. We had a three bedroom suite, more than enough room for my wife and I and our four kids. We had three and half bathroom, a balcony, sitting area, it is just so nice to come back to when you have been on your feet walking around Disney all day long. We hated to leave and wish it would have been warm enough to swim in the cool looking pool they have.

Hotel is convenient to Downtown Disney, Disneyland and California Adventure. Check in at the hotel is difficult - long lines and limited Cast members at Registration. We initially had a view of the parking lot, a quick call and upgrade allowed for a better view; but we were not notified when room was ready, so we spent a fair amount of time at Downtown Disney. There was limited hot water in the Frontier Tower, every morning. Nice touches built in to headboard lights and music, and Mickey hands and shapes everywhere. Our Granddaughter loved it and that's what counts!!
