    Awful. NOT Disney quality. Moldy shower curtain. Musty smell. A MOTEL. DISGUSTING When they “cleaned” the room, they only switched out the towels. No cleaning... beds not made. Do not stay here. Hair on towels in bathroom.

    We typically stay at shades of green, but decided to give a Disney resort a shot this time. Decided on a pirate room, so we were in the Trinidad building. Our room wasn’t ready when we tried to check in an hour after the designated check in time. Finally got checked in and made our way to the room. We knew it would be small, but didn’t realize that there would be no privacy. Literally a curtain separates the sink area from the rest of the room. We are early risers and always at the parks well before opening. The buses at this resort made that impossible. They didn’t start running until about 45 minutes before park open and then they didn’t even stop at our building. The buses were at capacity before getting to us. It seems like the resort should rotate which buildings the buses go to first. Really strange. We ended up driving to both magic kingdom and animal kingdom to avoid. Two things that we loved about the resort were the sky liner, which is truly a game changer, but only for two parks. The second thing was the main pool. The kids loved it! Dining options are limited right now and mousekeeping only comes every other day. No discount of course. We had instacart delivery groceries the first night which was super convenient and I would recommend. We will be going back to our roots and reliable transportation next trip!

    This was literally an impromptu trip planned 17 hours prior to departure. Caribbean Beach Resort came to us via a recommendation from a regular visitor. The grounds are amazing. Huge, beautiful, and clean in the common areas. Multiple pools but the main pool is the one that is open after parks close. ROOM: the rooms are a bit on the small side but we knew that going in. There were small little bugs everywhere but they are harmless and part of being in Florida. They didn’t bother us, bite, or cause any issues. The barn doors separating the main room from the bathroom vanity (toilet and shower have a separate door) are clumsy and loud. The fold out bed was useful but understand it is intended for smaller guests. The beds were fine, especially being exhausted every night after park walking. The provided body wash and hair products are okay but we advocate bringing your own. The room was a touch noisy with other guests yet manageable. I would advocate minor maintenance of the rooms like paint/caulk around the entry door and carpet replacement. Overall it was decent. FOOD: the food on sight is limited due to covid and not much above cafeteria food. Works in a pinch but is pricey. If you have to eat at Caribbean, get the turkey sandwich. The mobile order process is good and works quickly. Get the app, which the staff was excellent in Got the app, which staff mentored me through. While not what Disney wants for business purposes, Uber Eats is amazingly simple and good given the location of the resort. We ordered BJs, Noodles and Company, and Chick Fil A to the resort with little effort. POOL: The pool (main near lobby) is good yet very busy. We had a couple issues with unattended, rambunctious kids at the pool but I understand staff needs to be careful being overbearing with guests. It’s a great option for kids after the park but make sure to get under an umbrella for your gear as the rains come quickly. STAFF: the staff are top notch. They were welcoming, helpful, and knew the answer to even our most obscure questions. BUSES: transport from the airport was helpful yet takes some patience. That’s understandable given the amount of guests they serve. Free is a good price! On the way to the airport, we used Lyft to not need as much early morning time to travel. The internal buses to the park and back are adequate yet patience is needed. The location of drop off and pick up is convenient. Despite covid restrictions, we had a good stay at Caribbean Beach Resort. They are cautious with safe practices and measures to ensure guest safety. The grounds feel very safe with restricted entry and security around the property.

    This was our first visit to this resort and we were not disappointed! The entire resort was clean, well socially distanced, and all the staff we encountered were exceptional. Another great aspect of this resort is the Skyliner hub is there. The Skyliner provides quick and easy access to Epcot/Boardwalk, Hollywood Studios, Rivera Resort, Pop Century Resort, and Art of Animation Resort. The resort is absolutely huge and consists of multiple “islands” of the Caribbean. We stayed in “Trinidad” which has the Pirate themed rooms. Trinidad is one of the furthest building pods from the main lobby (probably just shy of a half mile!). With it being so far away, it is VERY quiet! From that building you can see the Skyliner hub and it’s quick access to get there. If you have small children or have a hard time walking long distance i would highly recommend requesting a room closer to Port Royal (the main lobby area), but if you don’t mind a long walk or want more quiet then it’s perfect! There are multiple bus stops throughout the resort with service to the parks (except Epcot and Hollywood Studios as those use the Skyliner) and to Disney Springs so you don’t have to go to port royal each time you need to get on a bus. They also have an internal shuttle, but honestly it’s probably quicker to just walk. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. If you haven’t stayed at a Disney resort before, let it be known that they provide body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in full sizes that smell AMAZING! Due to Covid, some of the restaurants weren’t open which was a bummer, but the main quick service food station at Port Royal was amazing and easy to get food from with the mobile ordering. The Large Pizza meal with breadsticks and salad is a killer deal for a family and was delicious! I also highly recommend getting the refillable mug for $20 if you plan on being there for a while. You get to fill it at any quick station at any resort. Disney as a whole was great about keeping social distancing and face coverings a priority. They also enhanced their cleaning measures. With that, they aren’t cramming the buses full like they used to, so keep that in mind if you are planning on taking their transportation to Disney Springs. You will want to give yourself ample time to get there for any reservations. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and will for sure stay again!

    This hotel is not all its cracked up to be. The only positive is that is has the sky liner. The pirate room with “water view “ is far from everything, despite paying extra to be closer to the main building and various things. There was no hot water, the beds were beyond awful. We asked to move and thankfully they moved us to a 5 person sleeper. Much more space and the beds were better, but there were gnats. GNATS. The food situation sucks. You have to order everything from the mobile order on the Disney app, but the food was not great at all. We had this hotel booked 6 months prior to Our stay and i am so glad they were able to do a price match because i paid a premium prior to COVID and when they reopened this hotel was on sale. I wouldn’t stay here again.
