The hotel is beautiful with amazing views and pools - though there is some deferred maintenance, and food and beverage prices are absurdly high with other local hotels and restaurants charging about half. We were there during hurricane Lowell and lost power for two days with the temperature in the room taking a third day to cool down, so there were three uncomfortably hot nights. The pools were also all closed so we were only able to enjoy then for 2 of our 8 days. The most surprising thing about the trip however is that the hotel issued no credits, refunds, or considerations of any kind for the loss of power, pools, and restaurants. These were force majeure, but I expected something having paid for a product they could not deliver. I was able to get the daily resort fee removed from my bill, but that is less than 10% of the cost of the stay.

Gorgeous resort! Large room, great service, clean, so much to do with pools, slides, lazy river, tennis & pickle ball courts. Great food as well.

We celebrated our 45th anniversary here. They have one of the best pool areas we've ever been to. You name it, they have it. From lazy rivers, adult pools, slides, activities, cabanas, salt water lagoon, beach, it's all there. Plenty of room too, no need to run out and save a spot. Our ocean view room was nice, nothing special but everything we needed. The restaurants were great and everyone was friendly. We were there during the hurricane and we felt safe the entire time. The resort is built very well and the staff treated us like family. Flashlights were in every room. They kept us fed and kept us well informed the entire time. I would recommend this resort very highly and we will definitely return.

Location is perfect but, the customer service goes above and beyond at this hotel!!! The employees are knowledgeable and they had posters boards in the main lobby telling us any updates to the Kauai half marathon to hurricane Lowell. The rooms were clean and having bell service is a must! Lastly, I recommend staying in Poipu over Princeville. We were stuck at a different "high end" hotel that was the opposite of our experience when dealing with the hurricane. Will definitely be coming back when Kauai reopens.

Highly recommend! Beautiful facility and the staff was great! Breakfast buffet was a hit and the other restaurants on-site were great!
