Stay at the high, it was unremarkable and certainly not worth what they charge per night. The overall inside of the hotel is grand and The building and grounds themselves have great bones. The public areas were attractive. What was tired, worn and filthy where the carpets In the hallways. Elevator doors and glass was fingerprinted. Items in the room malfunctioned specifically the bidet. I called to have it repaired. They came promptly but when they left, it wasn’t fixed. I ended up unplugging it. The Stainless steel trashcan in the bathroom was gross. It hadn’t been cleaned for a long time. The breakfast buffet had quantity but not quality. I chose several of my favorites to sample and ended up not eating any of them. I had cottage cheese and their bacon was perfection. I think they are probably due for a remodel and if they did, perhaps I would stay here again. The rooms are very much like ordinary hotel rooms. In other places I visited in Hawaii. The hotel rooms were beautiful and well appointed. For what they charge Hyatt needs to do better.

This is a bucket list property. There is something for every one and every age. The pools are very kid-friendly and could also easily be used by older adults (and every age in between). If you don't have kids (which we don't), everything is still great to use. In addition, the location of the resort puts you in nice proximity to a lot of other Kauai attractions (especially South side attractions). If at all possible via World of Hyatt rewards or paying cash, use the Grand Club. We've been in quite a few club lounges for Hyatt (US only), and this is #1 from both the product and staff standpoint. They do an exceptional job. If you can stay here, do it.

**Beautiful Resort, But a Serious Safety Incident Changed My Entire Experience** I saved for years for this trip and was genuinely excited to stay at the Grand Hyatt Kaua?i. The resort is beautiful, the grounds are impressive, and there were many things about the property I would otherwise have enjoyed. Unfortunately, what happened to me on July 11, 2026 completely changed my experience. During the early morning hours, I went to the hotel's 24-hour fitness center. While I was there, a man exposed himself and masturbated in my presence. I immediately reported what happened. Kaua?i Police responded, I gave a statement and cooperated fully, and the man was arrested. What happened was frightening and violating. It also raised serious questions for me about guest safety. The walk to and from the fitness center is long, and portions of the property were extremely dark at that hour. I did not see security personnel along the route or an obvious emergency call station or other way to quickly summon help. I also became concerned about gaps in surveillance-camera coverage. Thankfully, my understanding is that a camera associated with the fitness center captured evidence relating to the man's conduct. But I continue to wonder what could have happened if the situation had escalated somewhere outside that camera's view. One of the most upsetting parts of the experience occurred immediately afterward. I was frightened, extremely upset and calling for help, and a hotel employee told me to **keep my voice down**. I was not complaining about my room or hotel service. I was a woman who had just experienced something sexually violating and was trying to get help. Being told to lower my voice at that moment made me feel as though keeping the environment quiet was more important than making sure I felt safe. The incident affected the remainder of my vacation and has continued to affect me since returning home. I have struggled with sleep, find myself looking over my shoulder, and no longer feel as comfortable arriving at my own business during the early-morning hours as I once did. I am not posting this because I want a free stay, points or compensation. I have formally asked Grand Hyatt Kaua?i and Hyatt corporate leadership to review the property's lighting, security presence, surveillance coverage, emergency-assistance options and employee training for responding to incidents like this. The question I want Hyatt to answer is simple: **What are you going to do differently to protect the next woman?** Grand Hyatt Kaua?i is unquestionably a beautiful resort. But for me, beauty and luxury mean very little if I cannot feel safe. I hope Hyatt takes what happened seriously, learns from it and makes meaningful changes so another guest does not experience something similar—or something worse.

We paid for a day pass to the pool. The setting is beautiful and we had a nice time but it's not worth the price. The waterside is lame, you barely get any speed. Other than that it's a long, winding lazy river that doesn't flow and a salt water pool area. Food at the poolsude restaurant is overpriced bar food. For the price we could have gone to a much better water park near our home, paid for the gas, lodging, and food. I would pass on this next time.

Great place to spend quality time with the kids! The kids enjoyed seeing the parrots, playing jenga & cornhole, loved feeding the koi fishes, swimming, water slide & enjoyed the variety of food! They didn’t want to leave!
