Very poor service

Tye L on Jul 04, 2024

Okay service, although the one star comes from July 4th. Myself and my family were on the top floor of the empty parking garage to watch the fireworks from the bridge. As it is the only angle to see if from. We were quietly sitting there by ourselves a few minutes before they were supposed to begin when one of the employees came over and told us we weren’t allowed to be up there. We had no alcohol and were just hoping to view them as my family had been looking forward all day. Let’s just say us missing our fireworks put a huge damper on the week stay. Would highly advise to look elsewhere to not let employees ruin a seemingly great time.

Great location and facilities

Great location and very nice staff. The gym is really good and the pool available nearby is really good for sunbathing and for swimming laps. Easy to park and get out to shops, restaurants and cinemas. Onsite restaurant is OK.... but the Crabshack attached to the hotel is amazing - brilliant staff and food. Room had great facilities and a beautiful view, air con was brilliant.

Lovely hotel

Stayed for 3 nights over the weekend Staff excellent, particularly in the outside bar. We had a king suite with balcony which was very comfortable with a kitchenette which meant if you want you can eat in. The bedroom spacious and bed very comfortable. Excellent bathroom with washer and drier in for clothes which was great as we are on a bit of a road trip. Pool is nice plenty of beds for the usage that it was having. A free dolphin boat trip was available which we took and had a great time seeing dolphins in the river/sea. Not the cheapest of stays but well worth it in our view Would recommend a visit don’t think you will be disappointed

I cannot say enough wonderful things about thus property. Special recognition to Grant from Hawaii at the front desk for welcoming us with such kindness and hospitality. My young children absolutely love the special treats from hotel staff and the wonderful gift left for my wife. The property is absolutely beautiful with great dining on a property. There is also a great fitness center 2 mins away from the main tower which has a great 25 yard lap pool.

Hidden Gem

pjandnic (Viera, Florida) on May 28, 2024

Let's just start by saying my husband and I are former luxury hotel employees, so we are pretty picky about our likes and dislikes when it comes to our vacations. First, let's talk about property! Free self-parking, dog-friendly...really dog-friendly with only a $50 fee, and the Westin Heavenly Beds are dangerously comfortable. The real highlight of this resort is its employees, all-around friendly and accommodating. Front desk, bell staff, restaurant servers, and pool staff...honestly, everyone was gracious. The rooms are super spacious; we stayed in a two queen bed suite with an extra-large bathroom, fold out couch and a full kitchen. The rain style shower was lovely and the small in-room details were appreciated for example night light in the toilet room, magnifying mirror, essentail oil lavendar balm, really hot water and wooden closet shelves. A quick stop to the nearby Trader Joe's for breakfast, snacks, and lunch food saved the budget$$$ While the kitchen isn't equipped to prepare a Michelin Star dinner, it has most of the necessary glamping supplies. The staff was more than happy to bring up another pan for us too. Our room had a marina view as opposed to the preserve. The view was amazing highly recommend the marina view. We spent three glorious days lounging in the comfortable patio chairs watching the dolphins play, stingray families swim along the docks, and boats come and go. Both fitness rooms were well-equipped with your choice of equipment. There were also three pools to choose from between the main pool and recreation center, sauna, steam room and bikes to ride to your heart's content. The bellman will take you over to the recreation center via golf cart, a short 2 minute ride. The marina has some fantastic shops and restaurants, and the ice cream store was to die for. Although we are the relax and chill type of people on vacation, it looks like there are boat rentals, kayaks, fishing, daily yoga, boat tours and walking/running trails for those more adventurous. The hotel restaurant had good food, middle of the road quality for a reasonable price with happy hour too, which is the way to go. We love a good happy hour, thank you to Patrick for being a rock star server! Almost all the areas of the property are dog friendly to add. Park your car and relax, no need to leave the property. Overall, the Westin Cape Coral is a hidden gem, offering a relaxing getaway with top-tier amenities, friendly service, and picturesque surroundings. Highly recommended for an unforgettable retreat.
