Great week in Cuba, not the best at the hotel

We spent a week at this hotel. The initial welcome was great. The breakfast menu provided many choices, and the staff were very helpful. One night, we ordered dinner to be taken to our room. It was delivered uncovered. We had to request that the food be covered. Imagine going from the restaurant to the room with exposed food. Room service was horrible. None was provided during our stay. Several complaints were made to management to no avail. One night close to midnight, a maid turned up with new towels and also offered to clean the room at that time. After declining the offer, she said she would return in the morning, but that didn't happen. The hotel has great potential, but our experience left a lot to be desired.
Beautiful views and modern stay

Gran Muthu Habana is a grand hotel perfectly situated facing the Paseo Marítimo along the beautiful Caribbean Sea. The spacious rooms are comfortable, offering magnificent views and excellent sleep quality. The hotel has multiple swimming pools, a Health Club, and a SPA. The dining options are varied and impressive, with a multicuisine restaurant and the in-house Malabar Restaurant . There is an adjoining supermarket. The breakfast spread was plenty. Staff service was excellent. Robert, the bell boy, was super efficient and welcoming, briefing me thoroughly about the hotel and room. Rachel at the Travel Desk was professional and helpful, making arrangements seamless. Esteban, the General Director, greeted me warmly, and Dailin from PR and Masud, the Resident Manager, consistently showed personal attention throughout my stay. A minor hiccup was the coffee service in the room. Though there was a coffee machine, no coffee was initially provided, and the capsules arrived without milk or sugar. Despite the General Director’s intervention, sugar nor milk was supplied to the room. Although a strange clarification was given that it is only coffee and sugar that is supplied. It is a small but noticeable downside that slightly affected my first impression. Gran Muthu Habana is highly recommended for stays.
