Going from Good to not so good
Kent J on Sep 23, 2023
Stayed in January at the hotel and it was good but now in September not so good. Water bottles in the room was refilled water the bottles was not seald. They charge you an extra fee of 3% of the total price just to use the hotels belongings such as pool and sun beds and other things and that’s not written anywhere. The breakfast is not worth the price 430mxn/person. It’s much cheeper to take a taxi to the city and have a breakfast there. Staff is really good at the hotel ????
Renovation de habitaciones
flashito55 (Austin, Texas) on Aug 20, 2023
The hotel is beautiful; however, the rooms need renovation. If you have difficulty keeping it at a certain percentage of full capacity, then consider converting more rooms into condos which I saw the recent ones and was excited perhaps into purchasing one in the future specifically room 62. Sincerely. R. Martinez
Great spot but Construction!
nntravel8 (Oceanside, California) on Jul 15, 2023
Good location not far from the airport. Really accommodating and nice staff from Bellman to FrontDesk and Servers. The hotel has a lot of construction going on that makes a ton of noise (jackhammering, drilling, chiseling) throughout the day and also closed the secondary restaurant, pool bathroom, and gym. At check-in they said the gym would be ready in 3 days -it wasn’t it looks months away from completion. If that had been disclosed, which is the right thing to do, at booking I would not have stayed here. The makeshift gym should not exist it’s really bad. There was only one restaurant on the property but the service is really bad food tasted old and there are lots on insects so pretty unenjoyable. They do have a small pool in front to lounge that many people enjoyed for the perfect sunset picture. Room service is a lot better option. Lots of steep stairs and hills so I don’t recommend if you have issues walking. The main pool is huge but only 3ft all the way around so bring a float. Pool bar was good and kept the drinks coming but the cups are not cleaned well enough (lipstick/food particles). The beach is super fun with volleyball, soccer, bananas boats, etc. The rooms were very clean and spacious had incredible views good AC. Overall the hotel has a 70’s Mediterranean vibe with great views making it pretty photogenic. I recommend taking a 10 minute walk down the road where they had much better coffee, food, and convince shops. Would not stay here again.
Solid non-AI resort on Tangolunda Bay
playamomma (Rolling Meadows, Illinois) on Apr 25, 2023
We stayed here for our last two nights in the Huatulco area. I picked this hotel as it was one of the only non-AI hotel in the Tangolunda area and this was one of the only beaches in preface this by saying that we have not stayed in a “resort” in over 15 years, usually sticking to smaller hotels. Check-in was quick; they take you to your room in a golf cart. Room was pretty big, had an ocean view from the balcony. Bathroom was pretty big, outdated shower in the tub and toilet in bathroom bit with a clear glass door on it. Don’t know what the point of that was. We only ate lunch here, a snack from the grill. One day was a quesadilla, other was a hamburger. They were pretty good. Happy hour was from 2-3, kind of an odd time. Otherwise drinks were pretty expensive, double what they were at any place we had been to in town. The pool was being renovated, however the one half that was shallow was open which was good for people, with small children. We sat on the beach. Plenty of palapas open all day long. The ocean was a little rough but we had fun. Went to La Crucecita for dinner both nights. The first night we had the bellman call is a taxi. It was almost embarrassing to see a small van pull up. Cost was quite a bit more than hailing it from the street. We walked down to the little plaza for breakfast both days, Cafe Juanita and La Poblanita. Walk back up the driveway was steep. Hubby had recent back surgery so it was a little tough for him. Overall, it was a nice hotel,,clean and staff very friendly. ,
Great time - as always!

We have been coming to this resort for years and love it! Perfect size facility, friendly staff and good food. Number of renovations underway and I look forward to seeing how they look when we come next year. A special shout out to Antonio and Juanita.
