Not very good.

Disappointing. While the staff was kind and tried to do their jobs, it was almost impossible for them to get to the amount of people that are at this hotel. They are way over booked, and don’t have enough staff to help the amount of guests. We have waited almost an hour to get into breakfast and once inside, weren’t able to get cream with our coffee, or cutlery. Food trays empty, a hassle to get anything. We have, by day 4, resorted to eating elsewhere. The rooms are not sound proof and hotel is on a busy street. There has been a huge celebration only a couple blocks away. There are thousands of people in the street. Camping set up nearby, and they have oversold the hotel to local tourists. I spoke with the manager today, who refused to give me her name. She assured me they didn’t know this was happening outside, and they didn’t oversell the hotel. Only three adults and two children per room. Rooms are tiny so I don’t know how they are jamming that many in every room, but ok. We haven’t been given face towels at all or clean towels daily. There are not enough lounge chairs for the guests, and we feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable at the beach club and the pool in the hotel. Again, resorted going elsewhere. The rooms are run down. Normally this wouldn’t bother me, and I would leave it out of the review if they were a good hotel, but seeing as they haven’t even tried to treat us well, let’s include this. The curtains are shredded. Furniture beat up. Beds are old and uncomfortable. I did bring my own blanket on others reviews and so glad I did. We love Hualtuco, and we will be back. But not to this hotel. Not if you paid us to stay here. Do yourself a favour and stay at Villa Blanca. Or one of the many many other hotels in the area.

Excellent location right in Santa Cruz. Huatulco is very safe. Hotel has separate beach club. Smaller boutique type hotel close to everything. Food was fine no a la cartes just buffet but they create lots of variety. Not your typical all inclusive . Sort of like a boutique hotel with free drinks and food. If you think of it like that . We like it . Not a five star hotel but didn’t claim to be either. Like a 3 star at home. It was clean, the staff were attentive and very helpful
This property is a gem

Quaint Hotel, I never have stayed anywhere cleaner. Nice common areas, pretty landscape, and the beach club is beautiful, complete with a shuttle service approx every 1/2 hr to and from the hotel. Every member of the staff are friendly and helpful
A very good Mexican Experience.

We enjoyed our stay! If you want to a smaller venue in an older Mexican building the try Hotel Castillo. If you want Americanized luxury then this is not for you. Rooms are basic but functional and clean. Staff are friendly, the pool is great. The beach club is good, although the entertainment was not very good. They couldn’t read the audience!
Rude Security guard

Security guard Carlos was very rude, I brought a friend over to visit, and kicked him out without reason for being by the pool side. Receptionist Alejandro said that we are allowed to hang in lobby and hallway. He followed me to the room to confirm that my friend had a valid stay, just very uncomfortable situation. Don’t recommend.
