Just arrived back from a week holiday from this hotel. It’s about a 20-30min drive back from the airport. We got a taxi from the airport for $580 Mexican pesos using the airport taxi desk.
To point out the hotel is VERY strict with check in and check out times. We arrived earlier than the check in time but was kindly allowed to use the facilities but the room keys were only provided at 3pm.
The hotel honoured my IHG membership and upgraded the room without having to ask.
The hotel overall caters for mainly the Mexican family groups. Don’t let this put you off. We found everyone really welcoming. So yes there will be kids around, there isn’t an adults only area of any part of the hotel just to prepare you.
Food was plentiful and changed daily with some Mexican side dishes which were repeated daily. Drinks were all included from the various outlets. There is no premium dining at the hotel.
During the day there was various games/ events run by the entertainment team. The evening entertainment was in Spanish so was different to watch.
The pools were clean but sun beds were difficult to find at times, due to families reserving them rather than actually being used!
The staff definitely make this place. Everyone was friendly and so hard working. You didn’t see staff stop, constantly working. Everyone who we meet had a really good grasp of English.
Check out again our flight was later in the evening, we had to return our room keys by 12pm but as they advised due to my IHG membership we could continue using our wristbands until 2pm.
When it was time to leave the bell boys kindly called us a taxi and it cost us $400 Mexican pesos back to the airport.
The one thing I would recommend to the hotel management is to enforce their rule about reserving sun beds, which shouldn’t done! We found other guests did like to reserve their sun beds early in the morning. One morning a family left their towels on beds opposite us at 9am but they didn’t return until 4pm! Rather pointless.
So would I recommend, yes I would! But if you are looking for more upmarket and quiet then maybe not the place for you.

Pools and beach were beautiful however the restaurants are awful. Went to the isla grande buffet and a lady with short red hair was very rude. From going to use the restroom to leaving the buffet I’ve never been treated this bad even in cabos. Won’t stay at a holiday inn again.

Visited with my wife’s family from Morelia and didn’t disappoint!!! The best views and access were great. 3-4 different places for food and drinking and a swim up bar. They need to keep children farther away from the house pool bar but other than that a great resort.
Lowest quality food possible and irritating strict mask enforcement makes you feel like you are staying at the airport.

This was one of the worst vacations I’ve had that are all inclusive resort. I will describe in detail what the problems were and what some of the good things about the hotel are.
-Nice fitness center
-Easy to get around
-Good cold beer.
-Proper temperatures for food.
-The most hideous low quality food I’ve ever had at all-inclusive resort. No beef, white meat chicken breast, guacamole, etc.
-No authentic Mexican food.
-Too strict mask enforcement makes me feel like I am lodging at the airport. Very disturbing and irritating.
-Way too many kids! Terrible!
-No adult section of pool! Disgrace.
-Cheap in quantity of water bottles in the room. Water is extremely important.
I was so excited to get home and eat normal, high-quality healthy food. This was one of the worst vacations I’ve ever had.

Yearly family vacation and this is my first time at the holiday and the service has been spectacular. I am traveling with 2 elderly people and everyone is super helpful on top of being very hospitable! The drink service is in point always checking on drinks! Highly recommended would recommend the Holiday Inn!
