Kauai best experience

This place was absolutely delightful!!!! From the friendly staff to their amazing clean rooms, I’d give this hotel 10 out of 10!! They go above and beyond by checking in with you everyday to make your stay special, better than the other 5 stat hotels in the island.
Great location on the beach!

Highly recommend getting the kitchenette. The room was renovated and clean. The kitchenette was better than expected with a good sized fridge, microwave, sink, toaster...made it easy to have breakfast in the room! The property is really nice and there are chairs on the beach to just sit and relax. The AC was cold and it was quiet at night. Comfortable beds. Parking is tight...all the spots are really really close. That's the only real downside.
Ideal Base of Operations with Friendly Staff and a Killer View!

Excellent Location!! Right on the beach. While not ideal for swimming, there's a beach at Lydgate Park about a mile away with a great little swimming pool. Airport is probably a 10-15 minute drive which made it really convenient for us to maximize our time. Costco is close enough if you want to pick up some items (as is Target and Walmart). However, they're still far off where you feel like you're not near these big box stores... There's also quite a few eateries and markets nearby; some in walking distance. I particularly liked that I was able to explore the entire island without too much of a drive back. Both North/South shore were easily accessible from this point. Also, the Wailua River is very closeby incase you feel like kayaking/hiking to the Secret Falls... Hotel features 2 pools, a jacuzzi, cute lawn games, and a pretty good restaurant. All very photogenic (however, what in Hawaii isn't?). I'm usually skeptical about hotel bars, usually opting for a more local place however, this place was fun. There's live music and a mixed crowd all having a good time. I had drinks at the bar and met a few locals who introduced me to some cool people. Also drinks were all an A+!! Rooms are descent, slightly dated but comfy. Room service is attenuative and excellent at providing fresh towels, toiletries, etc. There's a microwave in the lobby to heat up your food. This was a little bonus. And special shout out to the staff for lending me a cutting board and knife during my stay to cut all my fresh fruit in my room... I had a lot. I'll definitely be back!!

First we were dissapointed to get a street/bin biew room. We went to complain and they told us that is what our agency booked. Oh well, gotta be more careful next time. Only had dinner in the restaurant once. It was fine, sevice was fine but a bit rushed as the place is busy, the music was nice... We appreciated the ice machine. One can make their own drinks, which is nice. Throughout Hawaii it seemed refilling of your own bottle was encouraged, for ecological reasons, right? To eliminate ppl wanting to buy plastic bottles, which is totally smart. Yet, the room is equipped with a coffee machine and each morning you get paper-plastic coated (I think) cups to use once and dump. Hmmm, wouldn't it be a nice touch to just have ceramic cups/mugs for the coffeee? It would make the coffee drinking a nicer experience. It wouldn't hurt to have two plates and some cuttlery too. Just saying it would help all the ppl who are not dining in restaurants every morning, lunch and dinner. And ceramic cups would just be ecological, no? As a heavy coffee drinker, I would also appreciate more than one capsule a day, but that might just be me. Free bike rental is nice touch. Staff was friendly, the resort is tidy. It is near to a food court where you can have nice food and other shops are nearby if you need anything.
Fun hotel

Quiet A/C in room. Small reefer adequate. Nice sliding glass door for fresh air leading to a nice private lanai with table and chairs. Helpful staff. Breakfast at Lava Lava restaurant was reasonable and served right on the beach, literally on the sand. Hotel price similar to a Best Western or Homewood Suite at a popular mainland location. Next door was the coconut marketplace, with great shops and restaurants. Also Imua coffee shop with world class quality coffee. We were there for Kauai construction work and it was just a tremendous place to relax after the job. Great large jacuzzi. Then pool plunge. Relaxing at one if their fire pits and watching the funniest surf videos projected on the wall. Everybody looked like they were having a great time. Hotel got pretty quiet about 10pm. We were able to get a good night sleep and were able to get a lot of work done. Can't wait to take my wife there for a nice getaway. We live in a nice place on Oahu but this hotel was a great treat.
