The hotel and staff were amazing! Vlit was eady to check in and out. Novella was the best! She was very kind and helpful! The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. We will visit again! The parking lot was a challenge. But the valet is a good option.

I’m on Kauai often for business and Kauai Shores is my go to hotel! Great service, great rooms, Lava Lava Beach Club, and it’s a simple layout unlike a resort it’s easy to get to and from your room. The hotel is oceanfront and on the Kauai bike path, they have complimentary cruiser bikes that I use for a little evening or morning excercise (you can also use the bike path for walking/running and the majority of the bike path runs along the ocean. Rooms were upgrade last year with major improvements to the bathrooms. The hotel is centrally located on the island which makes it easy to get anywhere you need. This hotel will always be my first choice on Kauai!

This hotel has exceeded our expectations. There’s not one thing I didn’t like about it. The grounds were beautiful, our room was very clean, and we didn’t see one bug inside. There is a mini fridge and a coffee maker. The AC was excellent although we really didn’t need it in April as the weather was fantastic. Fresh towels daily. Housekeeping daily. Laundromat on site. Swimming pool and hot tub on site. Restaurant and bar on site. We did not dine there (we like to try different restaurants each day) but we had our breakfast at the hotel restaurant and it was very good. Within walkable distance to shops and supermarkets. Five minute walk to the Coconut market as well as a 10-15 minute walk to Safeway (not even 5 minutes by car). The entire resort was quiet after 10 pm and there were security guards walking around at night. You really don’t need anything more for a comfortable, clean, convenient and safe stay + a good night’s sleep. Ladies at the reception desk were courteous and helpful, especially the wonderful Novella. Although the beach isn’t exactly swimmable due to strong waves, it is still a beautiful beach where you can take a dip in the water and enjoy the scenery while walking or lounging on the beach chairs sipping drinks from the bar. They also have free bikes for guests and free valet parking. I think for the price, this is the best budget hotel with all amenities that you will find in all of Kauai. Highly recommend!

Kauai Shores was everything I hoped it would be and more. Location is fantastic, valet parking was very helpful, rooms were nicely decorated and laid out, staff was friendly, and there were so many little touches that made it even better. There was a fun photo booth in lobby to comemerate our vacation. Would highly recommend!

Newly updated hotel rooms. Staff was extremely friendly. Valet is free. They were extremely efficient getting the cars up to the loading area. Resturant on-site is good as well. Very nice mid-point on the island. Highly recommend. We will be back!
