Fabulous hidden gem

Jacqueline T on Dec 05, 2024

Fabulous little hidden gem in Kauai. Fabulous, remodeled hotel right on the beach. So many little things make this place special. Free Valet Parking, Free Bikes to ride, clean rooms, grounds, pool jacuzzi and right on the beach!! It feels like your own private oasis. Not crowded, and the staff was wonderful. We will definitely be back.

Relaxing old school Vibe on Kauai

Susanbunny_8 (La Verne, California) on Nov 28, 2024

Fabulous value on Kauai's eastern shore. Old school, kick back and relax. Walk to shops, grocery store, coffee, local restaurants. Great vibe. Free bikes and yoga! Right on a beautiful beach. We also ate at the restaurant one night, right on the beach and great food too. We had stayed previously in an $$$ hotel in Poipu (my company paid, it was for a convention), that was pretty sweet but if you can't afford $500 a night this is the place for you!

We would recommend the Kauai Shores resort for sure! Novella at the front desk was fantastic!! She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We would come back and stay here again. Highly recommend this location. Great family place.

Great Value and Location

Hokiecoyote (Wrightwood, California) on Nov 16, 2024

This was definitely one of the more affordable hotels on the east side of the island which turned out to be centrally located to many sightseeing spots on the island. There is an onsite restaurant with live entertainment and it is beachfront with access to a great swimming spot to the south and bike trail to the north. The only challenges we experienced were with the onsite parking (i.e., too few spots and were much too narrow) and the timing of the room cleaning service (i.e., after 4pm daily) which was based strictly on our room location unfortunately. We also weren't crazy about all the chickens running around in the restaurant especially when tables were not cleaned immediately and the chickens jumped up onto the table and started picking through all the leftovers. "Please don't feed the chickens" is ignored by most of the customers but needs to be strictly enforced. The hotel is modern and recently renovated with lots of outlets throughout the room. There was a small fridge, a room safe, and a keurig coffee maker. There were two pools and a jacuzzi which we found to be fairly empty when we visited in November. The hotel is also located within walking distance of a shopping center with a small market, multiple restaurants, and other miscellaneous shops.
