Rooms on the Beach Negril is the second of its kind in Jamaica, with its sister property in Ocho Rios. The small and moderate hotel is set on an amazing beach near funky bars and restaurants. Enjoy the facilities and convenience of the on-site bar and restaurant at this boutique style hotel. Rooms welcomes singles, couples and families of all ages.
Please note: Effective immediately, our on-site restaurant the Reggae Cafe will be offering breakfast and limited bar service only. The breakfast and continental breakfast hours are 7:30am – 11:00am and 7:30am – 9:30am respectively. The bar hours are 10am – 5pm. The Front Desk will have a list of restaurant and bars in the Negril area which offer lunch and dinner.

Our experience at Rooms on the Beach (Negril) We arrived on March 22nd we got a room 1201 garden view, the room was clean but it lacked some needed items. We requested a soap that we were given. The safe needed a lock that we requested and were given. There was no fridge, when we requested one, we were told that we need to rent it for US$10 per day. We paid the rent and got one. So far so good. The positive about our vacation is that the beach is gorgeous and the food delicious. We went to the beach for the remainder of the day. When we came back to shower and change there was no hot water. We waited for the hot water but nothing came. We went to the office (which is a small room they call the lobby) and asked for hot water. They said they are going to look into it. Nothing…. Day 2 – Sunwing representative did not show up for the meeting…. still no hot water. We went again to the office and asked about the hot water. They said they are looking into it. We asked if we wanted to upgrade to Oceanview (our room was called garden view but there was no garden, it was just a passageway). We were told the price to upgrade is US$107 per night. Which was too much for us Day 3- still no hot water. We complained again and they said they are going to send somebody to our room to fix it. At that time, we heard from other people that they don’t have hot water. The entire resort had no hot water. We had to sleep each night with salt on our body and our hair. Disgusting but no way around it. Day 4, 5 and 6- same thing as before but at that point we were very frustrated. They offered us a courtesy room with hot water. We were able to take a shower after 6 days. But our problem is still there. No hot water in our room. Day 7- we went again to the office to ask about a solution for the hot water. We saw Sunwing rep there. We told her about our dilemma. The girl from the office at that time told us they can give us an Oceanview room with hot water for US$60 per night. We had 4 nights left so we took the offer. We had to pack and unpack again; it was that or wait for our return to Canada to be able to shower. I don’t think that this is acceptable. Going on vacation should be fun and worry free. Be pampered and not stressed out all the time. Giving hot water only for the Oceanview rooms and not the other rooms!!!!!!! They should have said that in their advertisement. Even though I like the beach and the food, I will never go there again and not dare to recommend it to anybody.We should get a refund for our misfortune and our ruined vacations. even food for breakfast was not available we have to wait 45 min everyday , and even lunch lot of food not available we rate that resort zero

The hotel and the grounds, including the beach, are fine, BUT if you're looking for peace and quiet, this is definitely not the place for you. Music from what is by far the largest music bar on the entire stretch of beach—located right next to the hotel (Woodstock Bar)—plays until 2:00 a.m. every day, and even later on weekends. When the music stops, the roosters on the neighboring property start crowing or the dogs start barking. When the animals finally quiet down around 7:00 a.m., the property owner starts yelling—every single day. Since the buildings are very thin-walled, it feels like either the band or the roosters are right on top of your pillow. Furthermore, breakfast is a disaster: 4 pieces of toast, a small pat of butter (from one of those plastic containers) and a thimbleful of jam, a hard-boiled egg, four slices of fruit (melon, pineapple, and papaya), and a muffin. That’s it. That’s all there is. No buffet, nothing. Just bad coffee and cheap juice—as much as you want. Sorry, but this is a real disaster and unacceptable for Europeans! Many of the staff are listless, lazy, and even unfriendly. The exceptions are the young man who keeps the pool and beach clean, and Kamisha from the breakfast restaurant and beach bar, who is unfortunately left to fend for herself far too often. The manager struts around the resort like a vain rooster instead of rolling up her sleeves and pitching in.
