You may have read my All Star Movies Resort review but before that we had a bit of a problem I didn't mention. On arrival at Orlando Airport we were delayed getting through customs due to lack of staff and our transfer left us there due to the hold up. We contacted him only for him to replay "I ain't picking you up tonight lady" So with no choice we got a taxi. At the Music resort we were swiftly booked in, My daughter, son in Law and granddaughter in a room for three and me and the missus a room for two. As we got our keycards and maps they told us we were in a different Resort to the rest of our party. They said we had booked Movies and my daughters was in Music. I said were should all be booked into Music and they said not according to he booking, I challenged it and shown them the booking form which said we were all booked in Music. They would not budge (so much for nice Disney we knew a few years ago) Me and my wife refused to be split up from the rest of the family. We asked about all of us stopping in Movies as there is a big distance to join my daughter and granddaughter for meals and the pool etc. They just shrugged. We did see a manager, Becca in the Movies and she arranged for them to be in the same resort as us. What is the point of paying over £17 000 to be split up ? The driver who took us over to Movies told us they had overbooked the Music resort . So being last to check in we were going to be split up ! I have been in Disney Parks a few times and never have they been so strict , near to bullying a customer. I could not believe how they treated us, they're attitude was more like the Spanish Costa in the 1970's. We would not take it any further as most of the staff had very little authority up to being 'jobsworths'. We also wanted our 8yr old granddaughter to enjoy it without hassle. I would not go there again but you need to read my review on the Movies resort for food, and accommodation etc which explains more.

I was pleased with the All Star Music given how much it cost (significantly less than other options). We stayed in Building 4 at The Rock Inn which was a bit of a trek and added extra time after long days or early mornings but I get it, it's a big place and so that's not inside anyone's control. Pool areas very nice and clean and the food in the eatery whilst not a lot of selection, what was there was of a decent enough standard and price wise, I have experienced much worse. Staff were very friendly so all in all I would go back and I would recommend for families.

My adult daughter and I stayed at All Star Music for 2 weeks September/October. We have previously stayed in Kissimmee on the 192 but as this was our first trip to Florida in 17 years, and I would be doing all the driving, we decided to try a Disney resort and use the Disney Transport on Disney days. What a great choice. Prior to arrival we had requested a higher floor room and on check in (on the app) we were allocated a room on the 3rd (in UK 2nd) floor in the 'Broadway' section. Absolutely perfect for us. Loved the vibe and not too far from a pool. A bit of a walk to the lobby and food court but we didn't mind. The room was perfect for the 2 of us and the pull down Murphy bed was just as comfortable as the normal bed. The room was cleaned every other day, with fresh towels and we loved the refillable mugs. Pizza from the food court is yummy and huge. The buses were great and we used these to get about all over the place. It made a big difference to me as a driver because it meant I didn't have to drive in the dark if we wanted to watch fireworks or night time shows or if I wanted to have a little drink occasionally. The whole area was kept in great condition and clean and tidy and we loved the security on the main gate which made us feel very comfortable. After a couple of days my Daughter commented that we'd made a great decision choosing All Star Music and she wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. That's a brilliant endorsement for me. We loved it and we made some great memories on our trip. Hopefully we'll be back soon. Would recommend to anyone.

We had a wonderful family fortnight at All Star Music! The hotel was wonderful and the staff professional and knowledgeable. We were on the quick service plan which saved us loads of money, including alcoholic drinks. The only criticism was that the restaurant didn’t have enough staff at busy times although they all had smiles on their faces despite their heavy work load. Our room was cleaned every other day! Again the staff worked at 100%. The buses were on time and extras were put on after fireworks and at park closures. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this hotel. The theming was amazing.

We love this resort - have stayed here many times. However this time we were sad to notice a real downturn in the rooms. We stayed for 7 days and when we arrived we noticed the room, particularly the floor was quite dirty. Being British, we didn't complain at first and thought it would be fixed when they cleaned the room, which is now every other day. Yet when day 3 came around, when we returned to the room, it hadn't been cleaned. We phoned up and told them what had happened - asked for fresh towels, etc. These arrived quickly. Yet even after this, the room wasn't cleaned the day after (day 4) either. When we returned to the room on day 5, it still hadn't been cleaned. This time we phoned again and told them we needed a clean - to their credit, they gave the room a really good clean within an hour - clean floors at last! When day 7 came around, our next cleaning date, we returned to the room and yet again it hadn't been cleaned. We didn't mind so much as we were leaving the next day, but this isn't the Disney service we've been used to over many years. Without us chasing it, we wouldn't have been cleaned in a week which is pretty rubbish given what we pay at Disney. We will certainly think twice about returning to this resort now.
