Clean and comfortable hotel next to epic

Modern hotel: so beautiful and within walking distance to epic universe! We have stayed here a few times now and really appreciate these comfortable clean rooms.
Nice hotel but...

The hotel was good overall. The room was very nice, the lobby was beautiful, the beds were comfortable, and the A/C worked perfectly. We didn’t have time to use the pool, but it looked nice. Also, the pizza from the market/shop in the lobby was excellent! There were a couple of downsides, though. The inside door lock can create a problem—our daughter accidentally locked the door from the inside, fell asleep, and we couldn’t get back into the room. We called security, and it took almost 25 minutes for someone to arrive with a master key. Thankfully, she was fine, but it was a stressful experience. Another inconvenience is that there’s no direct pedestrian access from the hotel to Universal Boulevard. You have to walk all the way around, which adds about 20 minutes. A gate or access door would make a huge difference. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but I hope the hotel considers improving these issues.
An epic trip!

We stayed three nights to visit epic universe. Our room had a great view of the park. The refillable mug was a great deal - $20 for 3 days all you can drink powerades and sodas. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was affordable and delicious. We enjoyed the massive hot tub and movies by the pool.
Get EPA but little rest

Location is great, walked to and from Epic. Atmosphere a little sterile, everything is white, boring lobby. Room large and comfortable, though too many light switches that seemed not connected to anything. No bathroom fan switch for moisture. Very noisy, listened to kid next door scream and parents yell until midnight, and it started up again at 6am. Could hear every person who walked by. Not a good place for sleeping. Surprised to find the cafe and market closed when we returned from the park!! If there is a time people will want/need things, it is then. Disappointing. Value was ok, we wanted proximity to Epic and EPA. Got those, nothing extra. Parking is an additional $30/night!!!!! Also disappointing.
Not a good one.

I was disappointed in the our stay for so many reasons. The rooms were smaller than a standard hotel room. The staff were mediocre in hospitality and the food service was also mediocre, much like a Hilton hotel breakfast, and very over priced. Check in was not smooth-one desk to checkin after standing in a long line, only to be told we had to stand in a different line to get our tickets for Epic park. Universal pay is not accepted in the hotel so I had to pull out a card every time we made a purchase. The pool was probably the best part of our stay, however the movies they showed at night was on a very small screen and was only visible if you were sitting right in front of it. The drinks cups were more expensive than the park cups, they nickel and dime you for every thing. We choose to drink water at the hotel to save money to have the drink cups for the parks, which they charge an additional fee for everyday. The bus drivers were a delight and were more hospitable than any of the hotel staff. The price they charge for the hotel is not deserved for the experience we had. My overall impression was not a good one.
