Based on my hotel experiences during the last year, it seems that courteous behavior and or acknowledgement of Elite status has almost completely disappeared. More than likely using the excuse of "Covid 19". I did try to check in early, trying to get out of the 111 temperature. I was unceremoniously reminded that check in was at 4 pm, even though a lady was being check in next to me. I was told that I would be called when my room was ready. That never happened. On a side note, Marriott's mobile app is basically useless. I tried to check in online and was informed that I was trying to check in too early, and had to do so within 48 hrs. of check in. I was doing it on THE SAME DAY!!! what a waste.
As a Gold member nothing was offered to me upon check-in.
We walked into the room, and discovered that the kitchen had not been cleaned. The sink was covered in some nasty flakes. (see pic) The counter had coffee stains. I grabbed a wet towel and wiped off the stains.
The door to the main bedroom was difficult to close because the carpet was curled up in several places. Overall, the furniture is scratched up and has seen better days. The room is really in need of renovation. Other than that, our A/C worked great in both bedrooms, and we had a comfortable sleep. NOTE: I declined to complain about the kitchen since we had no plans to use it.
A mixed bag. Beautiful scenery and nature, very peaceful and serene, not Covid friendly or ADA friendly, terrible Carbon

This place is back in the dark ages! They don’t have Apple Pay, the washing machine still take quarters, they keep hiding the recycling bins by the breakfast area, and they don’t do commercial compost.
I have been staying here almost a month, and they have asked me to leave because my credit card got declined.
My car was stolen out of the Desert Hot Springs parking lot on memorial day weekend, and I’m still trying to figure out the rental car and my damages and get all the insurance reimbursed, and they have not been kind or understanding.
The individual people who work here are cool, but management is awful. Do what you will with this…
Oh and the pool is filthy. They don’t clean the pool, I’m constantly getting bees out of the water
