Fun winter vacation at family-friendly resort.

We had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Club Vacations Scottsdale Resort over February break. We stayed in a 2BR suite. The rooms are spacious and clean and have full kitchens and washer/dryers. The resort has four pools: a splash pad with two water slides (48” height minimum) that is open daily from 11-5 with lifeguards, two family-friendly pools with hot tubs, and one adults-only pool with a hot tub. The slides and hot tubs were hits for us. The resort also has a well-used activities center and an assortment of kid-focused activities daily. We would be happy to stay at this resort again. That said, I rated it four stars instead of five due to the dated in-suite appliances, lack of housekeeping service, and bad restaurant service.
I am surprised how much I loved this vacation

I was booking IHG hotels for Europe and Asia when the operator asked me to stay in the line for a special deal. It was a $250 for 3 nights, 4 days at a IHG vacation club. Because we go to Phoenix each year to visit friends, but this year we were taking our grandson( who would not enjoy being in a retirement community) I took the deal. My husband was so upset, because this would include going to a time share presentation. My expectations were low. WOW! Did we ever have a lovely time! Big clean apartment, excellent set up for a kid and adults. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment, and the laundry machines were so useful. Great shopping with Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s etc close by, and some excellent restaurants. My grandson spent hours and hours in the kiddie pool, which was just steps away. Easy walk to our car, our apartment, the pool, the recreation center, the onsite restaurant. Pleasant presentation, and we were surprised that we could see ourselves vacationing with this company again. Big thumbs up??
Very nice hot tub

Good communication, easy check-in. They do have a restaurant on premises. It doesn’t open till noon though the highlight for us is the hot tub there have about four of them on property, but they’re fairly spacious so you can enjoy.
We will be back

This is the third week we have stayed at this resort, and we already have a week booked to return in May. The rooms are very comfortable and roomy, and the four pools are great. Its location in Scottsdale is very quiet and convenient.
Perfect For Our Family

This resort appeals to all ages. The art activities in the arcade centre are ongoing for a small fee. We used all three heated pools interchangeably; two of them had hot tubs. Regarding location of units: Call in advance and put in your request. We asked for ground floor and got it but it’s not guaranteed. Sixteen steps up to top floor. The timeshare sharks will definitely seek you out; we never answered our phone that rang only once a day for the week we were here. The spacious two bedroom had a king, 2 doubles and a queen pullout, perfect for 6. I agree with other reviewer, that the double beds would not be comfortable for a couple. I highly recommend this resort and would definitely return.
