All is not what it appears to be!!!

Was looking forward to this, had some issues with our rental home air con, so booked a couple of nights here. The experience immediately descended at check in! I believed I had booked Bed & breakfast for myself and family, I was wrong. This establishment has rewritten the B & B tradition of expecting breakfast when you have reserved bed & breakfast!! B & B here only relates to 2 adults in the party!! And it’s a grab & go, the $30 allowance will get you 2 bagels and a drink to share!! Hardly breakfast!! So , altogether a bad start to the short stay. It gets better though!! The olive branch was offered by the 2nd check in desk, this is where you collect your room key etc. I should have known right away that I had not reserved a ‘ normal’ hotel stay experience! At the 2nd check in desk, the gentleman offered me a solution to my issue, he could see I was disappointed with the breakfast issue and offered to assist!! $200 room credit & $100 cash was offered to alleviate my dissatisfaction. Too good to be true? You better believe it, this wasn’t a solution or fantastic customer service! It was for myself & spouse to attend a pressure, sorry, presentation on time shares for 90 minutes, or 2 hours or maybe 3, who knows? So, a somewhat strange/disappointing stay! I will put it down to experience. The resort itself is lovely, room is excellent, staff friendly, the rooms and spaces clean & cared for. This should be a fantastic 5 star review. Unfortunately I feel that I have been scammed, a little like playing the ‘ three shell game’.

Overall good experience - pool features were cool and kids has fun which was goal for this trip. Resort has 3 other pools as well.

It’s about 9:40pm and I just left this resort. Caitlin the night manager is the most unprofessional manager I have ever spoken with. I asked for a late check out because I had just noticed on the evening before I was to check out that my windshield was cracked. She said it was fort come first serve and there were no more extensions to give out. I asked for at least an hour or two because the windshield would take about three hours and I was working on getting the earliest appointment the following morning. She said no she couldn’t do anything and that the cleaning people would be at my door at 10am. I then went to the front office to speak with Caitlin to make sure I had her right name and to verify that she actually said the cleaning crew will be at my door at 10. As I got to the lobby Caitlin was not there I had to wait a few minutes. When she walked in she completely ignored me and helped another customer even though the other desk clerk offered to help that customer get check in. When I finally spoke to Caitlin she was rude from the beginning. I explained to her that I would be checking out that evening because I need a few hours in the morning to get my car fixed and with the weather being in the 114’s it was too hot not to have a place to wait. She said “oh okay, yeah, yeah great”. I told her there really wasn’t anything great about it and again she said oh right yeah! She again assured me the check out was first come first sever and the cleaners would be at my door at 10am sharp. Then she told me I was yelling at her and they don’t tolerate yelling yet they allowed me to get verbally assaulted in the adult pool. I explained to her I wasn’t yelling I was just ever upset. I then proceeded to walk out but Caitlin felt the need to shout “ okay byeeeee have a good night” I turned around and told her she was now being a smartass and they good customer service would be to let a very upset guest walk out but she felt the need to have the last word and be extremely rude about it. Caitlin is the most unprofessional manger I have ever spoken with. Her manners are appalling and the tone when she spoke to me was very condescending and disrespectful. My interaction with Caitlin was very stressful and I believe she created a hostile environment for me.

We stayed at this resort thanks to Holiday Inn’s generous donation to the IHOOT organization. Our family had a fantastic time and the resort far exceeded our expectations. The suites were incredibly large and they were updated. Staff was quick to respond to anything we needed and incredibly polite throughout our stay. The resort even has an andults only pool, which was awesome!

The Holiday resort is an excellent place to stay. clean, large two bedroom with a pool for your quad of condos.
