Great Vacation

This was our second time to this resort (April 2026). Was there in March 2026 also. The resort is very clean. The rooms were clean. All the staff were excellent. Food at Herman’s,Luigi's and the Seafood Restaurants were excellent. Staff at Herman’s Restaurant were outstanding. Made you feel like family. At the check in on the Select Side Frances is the best. Can’t wait to go back. We have booked for February 2027.

We love everything about this resort except for the beach being closed for half of our trip but that’s out of the resort’s control.
Our fav spot as a couple and family

Been going here for 8 years and every time it is better than the last. Amazing views with the cleanest beach on the whole island and delicious food especially at Luigi’s and Hermans! What stands out the most is excellent staff most are long term employees you welcome and remember you. The only place we ever want to go back to!
Lack of chairs a real problem.

The resort is very nice and it is clean. The food was ok, the international restaurant was the only one we really enjoyed. My biggest complaint (like so many others) was that it was very difficult to get a seat in the shade. There were very few umbrellas and what seemed like less chairs than people. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t get some more chairs and umbrellas. When we would get up in the morning around 7:00 - 7:30 all the chairs in the shady areas were reserved with towels. I don’t think I would go back.
Select - Needs some improvements

We just returned from spending 9 days at the Select Sosua Adults. The good: the cleanliness of the resort and the maintenance staff were there almost every day. Either they were landscaping or power washing areas. Only wish they had picked a more appropriate time to do the work, rather than mid-morning. The food at the buffet was good, and there was an abundant supply of everything. If you enjoy a quiet, relaxing pool area, the main pool is the place to be. There are four à la carte restaurants, and on the Select side, the international restaurant was amazing, but we were not told until mid-week that we could have booked it as often as we wished. The not so good: there aren't enough umbrellas for the number of lounge chairs. And even though the rules provided on your arrival stated that reserving chairs is not allowed, by 5 am, most of the umbrella areas were reserved. As well, the small beach area had to be closed off due to large waves and dangerous undertow, so no beach for the last half of our trip. We had requested a ground floor due to mobility issues, and on our first day there were given a room on the fourth floor, with no elevators. We eventually were moved to a second-floor room, which was twice the size and had a walk-out balcony. The buffet opens at 7 am; however, if you want coffee or tea, you can grab it in the buffet dining room most often around 6 am, but not every morning. The unacceptable: Select is part of the Casa Marina resort, which is a family resort. Security did not do a great job in preventing those guests from entering the adult section until the adult guests started getting involved. We paid a much higher cost for the exclusivity of the Select side, and had to deal with kids coming over and yelling and screaming. The Select side needs to improve signage and security to prevent this from happening. Overall, it was our first time at this resort, but we are not sure we would return.
