We stayed in room 1210 in block 1. The view from balcony is very nice. Unfortunately the AC would barely keep the room at24C even after complaining twice, the bathroom is very small, shower door ready to fall off, Luke warm water from shower, toilet seat ready to fall off and no potable water from taps. You are allocated one big bottle of water in your room each day. We were told that buildings 5-6 are newer. Pools all got very dirty each day, scum very apparent. Iguana poop everywhere and they often climb on your chairs. They do try to clean it up promptly. Buffet food is below average with the only hot items being omelettes and pasta. Although the Ala cartes food was pretty good, you had to get up early to go wait in line for a reservation for that day. Entertainment in courtyard at 8pm was always really good, entertainment staff got people up dancing and the music was of good quality. Bar drinks were good but buffet juices were badly watered down. Coffee was too weak for our tastes but found a shop across street that was good. Depending on tide beach was nice to walk on, water was good to wade in, waves fun for younger people. There are Tiger Eels in the water but they are harmless. Budget to eat off resort at least a few times. La Vita Dolce is excellent. Upsides are cheaper resort and shorter flight(4.5hrs from Calgary). We will visit PV again but not this resort.

We had a wonderful experience at the hotel. The room was a bit dated, but you get what you pay for. The food was amazing, the beach was very nice, and the ocean view is breathtaking. I would just ask staff to warn guests before you change toilets - we came into our room once to find out that the toilet needs to be changed, and we weren't warned. They were also changing the roof while I was there, so parts of the hotel were inaccessible. Puerto Vallarta is about 30 minutes away by car, so remember that this hotel is not in the city. It's much better for a peaceful, quiet vibe. Although there were children in the hotel, there is no kids club, so take that into consideration. However, there are plenty of activities to keep your children occupied. We have been going to this location for about 7 years. We have noticed a big decline this year in the food it never has been very good but it has gone down. We also noticed the grounds not been kept as well as they have been untrimmed hedges and uncut lawn areas. There was a big notice in the amount of grounds keepers much less then in the past. The bar was ok except they have gone to plastic bottled pop. As you can imagine once it has been open and sits for a while it is not good. The staff was great but a lot of the old staff is gone.

Staying at this resort entertainment is very good food so so. Only one really bad experience we lost tiffany glasses by pool 1 and one guest drop it off at Entertainment booth and even with proof that it was my glasses they kept saying nothing was brought to them very disappointed about his. Friendly people but even with proof of another guest bring it to the booth they keep denying they never had them.

Just got back from a great 7 night stay.The wife and i agreed this is a great resort for value.The views at night overlooking the beach, ocean , mountains and town of buceries lit up are amazing.The food is good, and so are the drinks, nothing fancy, just good food .If you are a serious foodie and expect butler service then dont come here. Positives 1.location- walk to village for markets or great tacos. 2.Adult pool only plus 5 other pools 3.2 buffet restaurants- one is themed for different dinner experiences. 4.cleanliness of resort 5.staff very friendly and helpful 6.easy to get around resort, flat 7.beach _ goes forever 8.ac in room worked great 9.check in and check out was seemless, no issues 10 STAFF Negatives 1.ala carte line up for 1.5 hours at 630am to book them(no thanks) 2.limited alcohol cheap name brands no high end alcohol 3.no coffee machine in room 4.resort a bit dated, needs upgrade but not too bad.
