Another great visit!

The staff are incredible and earn the “Friendly” reputation. Captain Raul, Double Double, Kalusha, Hugo, Braulio, Tony, Jose, Nabor have been working there for years and it’s always a pleasure to see them again…like family to us. Beatrix is still there and newcomers Jose Juan (aka Number One) and Jesus were excellent new additions to the staff. Maid service was excellent. Immediate neighbors were noisy and were smoking on balcony. The resort was much noisier during the night than in recent years. Missing last year’s afternoon live music at the beach. We loved having a fridge in the room. Is that now available in every room? What happened to the wall hand sanitizer dispensers? Several staff were sick (were not wearing masks) and we both ended up with illness as did many of the tourists. The lobby coffee shop is excellent. Teo offers great service there. Beach service is excellent. The waiters are attentive and entertaining and lounge chairs and umbrellas are laid out early each day. Smokers on the beach were totally inconsiderate and many of us had to keep moving chairs. It was the worst we have seen in over 20 years. Food is good with plenty of choices.. Paco made the best pastas of all staff during our stay (thanks for the chopped garlic)! Best mini burgers and fries were in restaurant near adult pool. Miss the tempura shrimp they used to serve and the clubhouse they served years ago. Buffet at beach was my favorite. The a la cartes (Frida and Azul) have definitely improved, finally, and the food was actually warm this year. Nabor is always an amazing Manager. Our biggest complaint was the difficulty in reserving a la carte restaurants. You have to scan a QR code and complete a reservation form but most of it is in Spanish. It was a common complaint and frustration with English speaking guests. We prefer the old way of phoning to reserve. Overall, we once again enjoyed our stay and thrilled to see staff and other repeat guests that have become our friends over the years.

Nice hotel! 90% + of customers were resident of the country of Mexico during Christmas and New Years vacation period. Friendly Staff! Raoul Ramirez (Captain at Buffet Restaurant) and his staff were awesome! Efficient housekeeping everywhere!
