No beach access!

We are currently starting at the Residence resort but unfortunately they have closed our beach and all amenities down there as they booked a beach wedding. So as paying top dollar prices we are restricted to just the pool area with many kids. Certainly it is poor that we get removed from the main reason we are here in that enjoying their beautiful beach area. Has turned us off completely from returning

I enjoyed a week stay at the Marival. There are many reviews about the Marival, but my review is specifically about one person there-Daniel Heraldez. Daniel worked at the pool area. He went above and beyond what was expected of him. Daniel made every guest feel very welcome, helped with whatever you needed and passed out the ice cream at 3 o’clock, which made him very popular! Daniel is an exemplary employee.

Restaurant insu sky bar my waiter Daniel was very good and attentive food was great and drinks also, America was an amazing host also

Membership (Innovation Level) benefits have been steadily reduced or eliminated. Distinct is more on par with Emotions for quality of stay. Gone are the days of turn down service, chocolates on pillows, etc. What was once a high end resort is barely average and, with regard to dining experiences, truly rates a 1 out of 5. Wait staff is young, inexperienced, and immature. Lengthy waits at the table exceeding 25 minutes, and longer at times just to place orders is frustrating. Appetizers that come to the table after entrees is frustrating. Poorly prepared dishes that repeatedly omit key ingredients, whether intentionally or by mistake, is careless, sloppy, and unacceptable. Drastically increased room rates on what was promised to be free upgrades at check-in is more than shady, classic bait and switch. Innovation Level beach area is relegated to a tiny corner of the beach that receives terrible service from wait staff and beach concierges (umbrellas, etc). And rail tequila poured in front of me after I requested the Don Julio all day in my same Yeti beach mug is a wake up call. This review may sound petty but after coming to the Marival resorts for about 25 years we realize it is time to cut our losses. Buy a membership and you will become the next victim…
