Lots of options, lovely staff

The Caribe Deluxe Princess is a pleasant all inclusive resort on a shared property with the Tropical Deluxe Princess (including a French option of perks with Club Framissima). Guests have privileges at both resorts which provide a variety of spaces, 3 pools, multiple restaurants, and activities for both families and the Gen Y and Gen Z clientele. A la carte restaurants provide freshly prepared meals with tasty specialty cultural experiences and we particularly enjoyed Fogo (the Brazilian restaurant) and Tao (the Japanese, Teppanyaki restaurant). We missed having fresh juices while we were there, but we chose this resort for its many options and for its sandy beach (note: March winds can make the ocean a little rough). The kids pool and water park are great for young children and there is a special centre where teens can hang out and play pool or a variety of games, learn archery, play ping pong or bocce, etc. Adults without children may prefer the pool with the vibrant, Caribbean music and swim up bar. Maintenance crews were always working to keep up with repairs (fixing pathways, grooming the grounds, painting, etc.). Almost all staff speak multiple languages and they are always friendly, available, and happy to help make your stay pleasant and comfortable. We recommend confirming the location of your room when you check in (eg. Ask about the view, floor level - there are no elevators, and if the room overlooks a noisy bar or pool). We have to give a special mention to Yafaira at reception who was especially pleasant and helpful. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay. Thank you, Yafaira! You are very professional and a great asset to the resort. Special note about the Sunwing/Nexus transfer from the airport: the Nexus/Sunwing shuttle to this resort included stops at 2-3 other resorts. This resort was close to the last stop. It took us 2.5 hours of waiting and travel time to get to the resort after we had exited the airport. The direct trip is only 30 minutes. Next time, we will book a 30 minute, direct taxi ride for $40 (USD).
