Construction going on!

philkhk (Toronto, Canada) on Jul 20, 2024

The hotel is under construction during my visit, so the rating does reflect the experience of my stay. First of all, my preference is higher floors and there is no other higher floor's room available at my check in time at 4pm. They gave me a room on the 4th floor, because the room is at 4th floor, I had to take another elevator to get to my room from the lobby. In total, I had to take 3 different elevators from the underground parking to my room. There are also noises in the morning when I can hear constriction works. The room show sign of age and needs to be remodel. The room soze for a double Queens room is average and kinda dark in my opinion . The location is excellent which is 15 to 20 minutes walking distance the the old Quebec and the Fairmont hotel. Parking is somehow expensive. I stayed in the hotel for 2 days and first day I paid $30 for one with one exit and re entry. Second day is $25 plus tax. The parking ticket machine is only available at the SS1, I parked my car at SS2 and had to went back up to SS1 to pay and go back to get my car. The "H" hotel at the next street seems newer and more modern. Slightly closer to the main attraction as well. I would have stay there if I m not Bonvoy members and wishes to accurate my night to keep my gold elite status.

Delta Quebec

colin b (South Lanarkshire, United Kingdom) on Jul 16, 2024

A decent stay in an ok hotel, seems it's popular for business meetings and package tours, it's not grand or special in any respect but a perfectly acceptable option in Quebec with good points and not so good points. Good points are - It's not as big as you think, only 12 floors it's walking distance to bars and restaurants both locally and in the city centre. It's also very close to the music festival site and theatre. The main attractions, bus tours, city centre and old town are a about a 20 minute walk away on the level, the Plains and the Citadel are uphill. The hotel itself looks kind of dated in a way but was being upgraded in places. The room was spacious with excellent air con which is easy to use. Comfy bed gave a good night's sleep there was also nice toiletries to use. The downside is the restaurant. It's peasant enough but it's lacking in options, breakfast was the best meal, the yoghurt, granola and fresh fruit was delish, the main meals not so, the 'pizza', which wasn't, hadn't seen a pizza oven. The bar restaurant tended to be empty of an evening, in the morning breakfast service was hit and miss to almost intolerable slow, 30 mins to take an order slow, I was on the point of leaving. For snack meals like burgers, it's OK, for more substantial dishes I'd go elsewhere. All in all its OK but I'd probably stay elsewhere if I'm back in Quebec

Bad experience at the lobby

DrCDavisB (Chile) on Jul 13, 2024

Not great at all. We booked this hotel and we were informed only 48 hrs before our arrival that there were renovations in the hotel but never mentioned the “size” of the renovations. It was a disgrace, honestly. Half of the hotel was in construction/renovation activities. When we arrive to our room there was no lights working. The front desk indicated that there was no maintenance staff to fixed and this was due to the renovations but by next day it will be fix and if we wanted to change room they can do it but did not recommended as the other rooms where in worst conditions. No apologies whats so ever in fact they told us that is was just one night so can be that bad. Horrible.

Do not stay here

BRUNO G (Moncton, Canada) on Jul 06, 2024

We quickly saw the hotel but very hard to actually enter it, no clear directions and signs. Hotel is in terrible shape, the worse marriott property I’ve stayed at and I’m lifetime platinum status. Hallways and rooms are old and dirty. They need a major renovation. Location is ok. Staff were pleasant. Parking is difficult and expensive. Overall it is really how old and run down everything is . Not acceptable for a Delta property. They need to unload this location as it is embarrassing to the brand

Staff is great, but hotel is in disarray.

mic_sam (Vancouver) on Jun 27, 2024

Mixed emotion here. I arrived not knowing the extend of the renovation. It 100% affects your stay. Fortunately, Im here for one night only. My room is very very dated, but clean. On the 12th floor. Nice view of Quebec North. The hotel was obviously in serious need for renos. Perhaps management should have closed down rather than putting patrons in this mess. Room service is very limited, floors are messy with dust everywhere. Elevators are an absolute nightmare. I will say that the staff are working really hard to ensure their best customer service compensate for the inconveniences around. I would avoid staying here until the renos are completed at all cost. I might give this hotel another chance based on the customer service I have received and the reviews that will be posted eventually.
