Hotel was ok.

Philip B on Aug 07, 2026

Hotel room was spacious and clean. The only downside to this hotel is breakfast time and parking. Breakfast on the 4th floor is carnage! No matter what time you went there were hoardes of people there and no many tables to cater for them. Breakfast is limited and while we were there the hot options consisted of sausages, egg and potatoes one day, bacon egg and potatoes the next and the final day they only had eggs.

Simple But Good Alternative

kmsandrbs on Jul 30, 2026

We stayed here for four nights for Comic Con 2026. Because of that, our experience was mostly late at night and in the morning. We did not use the pool or fitness center, nor eat in the nearby area. When checking in, there was apparently a miscue and we were checked in under the wrong reservation. This resulted in a phone call from the desk and a visit by security that evening, but the issue was resolved satisfactorily. The hotel and room were clean, bathroom amenities fine. The fridge was very cold, though a little loud for those who have noise concerns. You could also occasionally hear the nearby freeway noise. Not enough to bother me, but could be an issue for some. The hotel does provide complimentary ear plugs (there was a note about this in our room). Air conditioning worked enough (we did have to set the bottom of the curtains on the window sill so the AC was not just blowing behind the curtains). As others have noted, several of the outlets are very loose, but they worked. Breakfast varied slightly, but was waffles each day (with I think 7 waffle makers, which I thought was great, and a waffle-flavor-of-the-day available), sausage or bacon, potatoes, eggs (scrambled or pre-made cheese omelettes), oatmeal, toast, for hot food , and yogurt, cereal, apples, oranges, and muffins. Coffee/juice/milk. I thought the breakfast was good. A small improvement would be to have salsa (and cheese on days without the cheese omelette). We did not have any issues with people who were homeless and did not have concerns about security. A specific issue for Comic-Con. The hotel was listed as being on a shuttle route but what that meant was you could walk to a nearby hotel (5 minute walk) to catch the shuttle. This would have been a non-issue except that only half of the walk had a sidewalk, and the remainder was walking in the bike lane. This was okay but not great, and I think useful for future Con goers to consider, especially if bringing young children. On the plus side, the shuttle stop was the second pick-up stop so we did not have to worry, generally, about shuttles being full when they arrived. I would consider staying here for the Con again in the future.

You can't put lipstick on a pig.

Great staff. Did the best with what they had to work with. Horrible rooms. Bad lighting. Mattresses were so very soft. Checked two other rooms to possibly change but just as bad. Breakfast lacked choices and eggs were ice cold. Park on the street - safer than maneuvering parking garage or front parking lot.

Good hotel in good location

Nancy C on Apr 30, 2026

This was a great location. The room was clean. Staff was very friendly. Parking lot spaces were tight and cost $26 per night. There was not a microwave in the room but one was available for use in the lobby. I would stay there again if I come back to San Diego
