We recently stayed at the Fairfield Inn and Suites ,operated by Silver Birch Hotels and encountered the most inconsistent pricing I've seen in Canadian Hospitality ! Neighbouring hotels like Ramada and Capital charge around $ 169/Night , Fairfield charged us for $360.63 for 1 night , followed by $193/283/224/224 for a 4 day stay in the same room . No events , no upgrades , no explaination- just unpredictable pricing ! Housekeeping was provided every second day despite elevated rates ! As Visitors from Ontario , we've always viewed Newfoundland as one of the most welcoming places in Canada . This experience doesn't match that reputation ! The pricing practices at this property need serious review !

Staff were very accommodating. Travelled with a young hockey team so naturally they want to run and play. Management set up a small area for the kids to play as even provided some entertainment for them. Pool was great, rooms clean.

I would not recommend staying at this hotel on the weekend if you’re hoping for a restful night’s sleep. We have stayed here multiple times in the past, but this will be our last visit. On several occasions, children were running up and down the hallways screaming, with no adults in sight. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident, and there seems to be little consideration for other guests trying to relax. We are loyal to Marriott-branded hotels and will continue to choose other Marriott locations in the future, but we will not be returning to this

“Cherelynn” at the front desk is a superstar. We arrived earlier than official check-in and she did her best to make us comfortable, all in a highly engaging manner. The room was spacious with a very comfy bed. Property has a nice pool and fun water slide… with appeal to all ages. All in all a wonderful stay!
