Looking tired in paradise.

So an average rating for this resort is generous from my perspective. The positives as you have read in other reviews are the location in reference to the market across the street, the access to the beach, and restaurants in the area. The hotel room we were assigned Room 107 specifically had a terrible moldy oder. We arrived late so the next morning I asked Emanual at the front desk to change rooms that I had respiratory issues and didn't feel it was healthy for me to stay in a room with such a moldy odor. He offered another Room and on inspection it also had the same odor. I was told he would talk to a supervisor and they would get back to me. That Never happened. All our clothes had to be cleaned as this odor permeated everything we brought with us. Including my CPAP machine which still smells like the room and will have to be disinfected. The front desk was not accommodating in this respect. In addition, the bathroom fan made such a loud rattling noise every time you turned it on. The room needs updating, the rug under the coffee table was gray brown from dirt. As for the free breakfast it was sufficient and does help with the food expence on the Island. The lounges around the pool and some at the beach need updating old and non-supportive. Taxi's are expensive and food is expensive. Everything here is imported. My recommendation is if you are going to spend the money to go to Turks then spend the extra you might save at this resort and stay elsewhere.
Perfect would stay again

Great place in perfect location walkable to a huge grocery store and many restaurants and the beach a quick 3-4 min walk across the street. They have chairs and umbrellas there for free and you can use the bathroom at the Seven Stars resort next door. Would definitely recommend. It was clean and beds very comfy. The pool was great. An incredible value in Grace Bay.

It was perfect location to walk to beach and stores. Beds were firm and comfortable. Great staff! Helpful with information and getting a cab for you. Enjoyed the pool area and refreshing cocktails, while relaxing. Thank you POCR. D.Jackson
If you want a great TCI experience at a good price this is it

This is a good budget alternative for TCI. Save your money and pay to eat at nearby resorts. It is close to great restaurants, an overpriced supermarket, the Ritz casino, short walk to the beach. The breakfast was OK in a pinch. The pool and hot tub are pleasant, and the fitness room is adequate. There was a water problem during our stay that required a shutdown and annoyed some guests, but we didn't let it bother us. Note there is no elevator if you choose a higher floor. Get a balcony with a view of the pool if you can. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms have safes. The hotel claims it has "YouTube TV" but it's actually regular YouTube. You could put your own streaming accounts on the TV but many of them are not supported outside of the US, with exception of Netflix, Apple and Prime. Main criticism: The WiFi speed is horrendous. Almost unusable. Most of the time we stuck to our cell network, which was also spotty. You may have to go to a decent coffee shop or restaurant to get better internet when all the guests are around using their phones and laptops/ipads. And yet we had a blast, because it was sunny, and we just needed a place to sleep and hang out, and the room was comfortable enough.
