Loved out stay!

My husband and I stayed in a studio at Villa Del Mar in Jan 2023 and loved it! It was a "budget friendly" option compared to many other places to stay in Provo but it had large rooms, was quiet, very clean, friendly staff, and a short walk to the beach with its own setup of chairs and umbrellas. It also has a small continental breakfast which is a nice way to get a bite in the morning. It was a close walk to other dining options and shopping. We also loved the pools and the very large covered balconies. We loved our ground floor unit for easy access to the pools/hot tub and breakfast. The only complaint I have is that while the mattress was very comfortable, the frame was extremely loud and squeaky with any movement. Overall, we loved everything about our week at Villa Del Mar and would stay here again.

resort is well maintained, staff friendly & helpful. convenient to beach and restaurants and markets. this island is quite pricey but rates at Villa del Mar reasonable and you get nice continental breakfast

A well-maintained complex a short 10 minute walk from uptown and shopping. Beautiful beach just steps away.

We have stayed at Villa Del Mar a few times over the years. The place is centrally located with a quick 10 minute walk to uptown and shopping. The complex is well-maintained and staff is always very friendly. We love Captain Bill at the poolside bar!

We went as two couples and stayed in B204. The condo is amazing and has everything you could possible want including a fully stocked kitchen. The condo was listed as one bedroom with a den yet had two private bedrooms. The grocery store is within walking distance (be prepared as groceries are extremely expensive) and there are excellent BBQ's located by the bar. Breakfast is included and they offer a very limited selection, but the selection met our needs. There was always pool lounge chairs and lounge chairs at the beach available for us. Words cannot describe how amazing the beach and sunsets are. Overall, our stay was exceptional except for the service provided from the General Manager Josalee Stubbs. She gave us the safe "key" upon check-in and said it was our only option to use the safe even though the safe had a keypad. This didn’t make sense to us as we were two couples. Unfortunately, I somehow managed to lose the key when we were walking on the beach. Totally my fault and unintentional. We traced my steps on numerous occasions with no luck. When I reported this to Josalee, she told me that I would have to cover the expense for a new safe as she had given me the last key. Things went downhill from there. She told me she would investigate replacing the safe and then informed me that they could open the safe, but we would not have a safe to use for the rest of our 12-day stay. I asked to see the documents we signed upon check in, and it clearly states that there is a charge of $50 for lost keys. When I challenged Josalee, she was rude and said that there were no safes available on the island and she would send maintenance to our room to open the safe. The maintenance person was amazing. He broke into the safe and then simply shook his head. The keypad worked perfectly fine and only needed new batteries. I let him know I was concerned about not having a safe in our unit and he said getting a safe was no problem at all. He had a new safe installed in our unit in less than two hours. I take full responsibility for losing the key but do not appreciate being lied to on several occasions.

Great Location, Beautiful Beach and Amazing Staff.

This is the first time in Provo (T &C) and our first time at Villa Del Mar where we celebrated our thirty third wedding anniversary. The staff were amazing. From Josalee, the general manager, to the front desk (Oliver, Westlene, RanDaijah) the bartender Wilkim, Rose and the rest of housekeeping were all efficient, super friendly and were very accommodating, make our first experience extremely enjoyable. Our beach attendants also Lerone and Kerone, twin brothers, were also phenomenal. The room was well-equipped, clean, with reliable internet connection and met all of our needs for the week. We also had a large balcony which was perfect for romantic dinners for two and overlooked the manicured grounds and pool. We did not experience the gnats/bugs- we always closed the outer door, prior to opening our door to our room. This hotel is not on the beach and you do have to cross the road to get to Grace Bay Beach which was not a major issue. Only continental breakfast was served, but if you needed more, there are so many restaurants within walking distance serving breakfast, that this was a non-issue for us. Only cons are: no restaurant, convenience store or gym on-site. Everything including food is very expensive. Although we rented a car, the gourmet supermarket was easy to get to. We can’t wait to go back, and highly recommend Villa Del Mar if you are looking for a tranquil stay, away from the crowds, close to beautiful beaches, great restaurants and like being pampered by attentive staff.
