Alexandra Resort was awesome. Grace Bay has got to be the best beach we’ve ever visited. All 3 restaurants were the bomb, steak, sushi and fresh fish were delicious. Our bartenders Trishauna, Edmund and Sylers all went above and beyond with the best pool drinks! Painkiller please! Then Forty, either on the beach or coming in as backup at the bar was great! They all work so hard. Room beach view was great, housekeeping was good but not detailed. We’ll be back!
Amazing Time at Alexandra

We booked this hotel on the recommendation of a friend, and are so glad we went! We loved our vacation! We can’t wait to see what upgrades are in store for the upcoming renovation!
My first impression of the hotel was wonderful, I sent an email asking about how they might handle a guest with celiac disease. They quickly replied that they were more than ready to make accommodations for our daughters meals and we felt relieved. Therena, the food and beverage manager emailed back quickly with options and said she’d meet with us on arrival!
Room: We stayed in room 4501. This is in the building closest to the Kids Club, Spa and pool. The wifi in the room was great. Our room had 1.5 bathrooms, a separate bedroom, living room area with pull out couch, dining area, huge deck and a small kitchen with a fridge, freezer, oven and microwave as well as dishes and utensils. There was no washer/dryer in our unit. We had planned to visit the grocery store and prepare some meals in the room but we didn’t need to! The king bed was comfortable, the pull out couch bed was adequate for our two children to share and the room and bathrooms were clean. Housekeeping did a great job. The deck had the most amazing view and was spacious with a dining table and two chairs for relaxing.
Check In: The checkin area is not as grand as some places we have been, but we were taken care of quickly and given welcome drinks! I wish we had a tour of the property or an overview of the entertainment, but we figured things out pretty quickly on our own.
Food: We met with Therena and Chef Keith as soon as we arrived over lunch. They explained menu items that were naturally gluten free, and what could be modified and asked my daughter for her favorite items to eat so they could prepare them. She loved the Mac and cheese and salmon for dinner, the pizza and wraps for lunch and they made her gluten free pancakes and toast for breakfast each day. Therena and Keith checked in with us daily and even made us to-go gluten free sandwiches on a day we went on an excursion! We enjoyed every restaurant and the smoothie bar and snack station daily. My kids loved the ice pops in the freezer each day. Don’t forget about the beach stand, it was delicious for lunch!
We went back and forth between the two many times during the day. The beach is absolutely perfect, the water is crystal clear, the sand is soft and white. My family loved the water trampoline but it unfortunately broke when we were there and is now out of service. We borrowed snorkels and stand up paddle boards for the day to use in the ocean. There were plenty of extra floaties but I recommend bringing at least one. We enjoyed volleyball in the pool and my kids spent hours playing on the ledge of the pool jumping in! We never had trouble getting chairs at the pool or beach.
We only participated in one evening with the DJ on the beach deck. We loved the trivia on the beach! The foam party on Friday was fun. Some of the other advertised activists didn’t seem to be up and running.
Our girls went twice, and enjoyed making sand art, bracelets, and getting their faces painted by Lourissa. She was so sweet! They also loved the Lego table! They were the only kids there when we went so they could choose their activities, they weren’t really following a set schedule.
Overall we had a great time. All inclusive was the way to go for us, and we enjoyed every meal, especially the option to take food to go and eat on the beach, near the pool, or back in the room. We would especially like to thank Therena, Chef Keith and Mr. Charles for making our trip so amazing!!
