Great place. The staff are the best handy to town center. 10 minutes walk to the Beatles bar most meals was great . Canadian.dinner was so good. Everything worked as it should in the room lots of hot water. Good water pressure My maid Tanya was great keeping things . Gest Service was always there to answer any questions. (Janet and Natacha) Front desk were very good to deal with . Remember this is Cuba and you will experience some shortages from time to time. Over all I will be back again.

We came back for our 2nd visit Jan 10-17th. We had a great room with ocean view. Very comfy bed, well appointed and lots of hot water in the bathroom. The food was quite good. There was a gala dinner one night, which offered exceptional food. Again, for us, the bar staff made our trip. Special mention to Lala, Aliochy and Jamie for making our stay spectacular. Thanks also to Alejandro for making sure that our trip was great. The beach can't be beat - lots of loungers and palapas for everyone. PS - no power outages and no mosquitos!

I would like to give ???????????? to my new friend Raudilo who works at Arenas Blanca buffet area. Every morning he greeted us and quietly devoted his attention to make sure we had all we needed. Always smiling and in the best mood Raudilo will give his ?? when working. He is one of the reasons we keep going back. He is part of the hotel family we now love and visit now at Arenas Blanca. Keep smiling. You are an amazing person and a good friend.

I have been coming to this hotel for many years. Between the amazing hospitality and customer service it has become like a second home and the employers like family. Over the years the food quality has definitely improved and the à la carte restaurants are highly referred. The beach is like no beach anywhere in the world and I have travelled all over. The cleanliness of the rooms is top notch if ever there’s any problems it is serviced very quickly. They truly try to make your stay a pleasure. The location of the hotel is also key as it is walking distance from calle 62. The bar between the coffee and drinks is highly recommended! And most importantly I have a place in my heart for everyone but most of Janet! Definitely coming back. And for those who complain - you don’t know how to appreciate the beautiful simple things in life!

Solymar is an awesome resort with an amazing beach, amazing staff and a short walk to town! I have been there for many years and I'll always go back! I did read a post recently that cats are no longer allowed in the hotel because they spread disease. That is not true at all! Cats do not spread disease at all, but they do help us by getting rid of mice and rats! It also said we are not allowed to feed them. That should not happen at all. These cats are so sweet and kind, but they are also homeless. We love having them on the resort and I hope this stops by my next trip in February. I love this resort and I've been staying here for years!
