Sol Palmeras will be continuing the remodeling of their guest rooms. Once the remodeling of the initial 164 rooms is completed, they will begin the second stage on July 1, 2024 with the renovation of another 136 rooms in the main building.
The work is being done in phases and taking into account complete blocks of the building that will be isolated to minimize guest disruption.
Completion of the project is expected by April 30, 2025

Another great week in Cuba!

After many years we decided to revisit Cuba. This was our second visit to Sol Palmeras this year, and we loved it. The resort is clean, the staff are super friendly and the beach is absolutely beautiful. The nightly entertainment in the lobby bar is pleasant, and the evening shows near the pool are well done. As in all resorts, the buffet restaurant is loud and some guests seem to have left their manners at home. However the specialty restaurants are quiet and we enjoyed our meals. Due to the restrictions of the country the food may not be as high end as other countries, but we always eat well. The bars are well stocked, and we never had any issues with beach towels or room service like I’ve read in reviews on other resorts. Tipping: these people work hard for very little pay, so a dollar or two means a lot to them. Seeing large groups leaving a dinner table without leaving a few dollars on the table is sad.

Everything about Sol Palmeras met or exceeded my expectations. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and the amenities, food and drink were plentiful. All the staff were very kind, friendly and helpful. Dayana in customer service was extremely helpful with needs of our group and Reniel kept us entertained with salsa dancing lessons and water exercises. The evening entertainment of instrumentalists, vocalists and dancers was the perfect way to end a day on the beach or by the pool. There was always something for our group of 8 people to enjoy.
