We loved this resort, would definitely stay again! Our group was 2 adults, 1 four year old, 1 one and a half year old. Stayed for 7 days but would have stayed longer. Our room was on the first floor, patio facing the ocean. Only downside to the 1st floor is that some rooms have palapas and tables in the view of the ocean. But 100% would recommend a 1st floor room if you want the easiest access to the beach, food, drinks. It worked out really great for us because after the kids went for naps or bedtime, we could sit outside the room on the ground floor beachfront patio with the baby monitor, and one of us leave for any reason (a dip in the pool, more cerviche, another margarita) and come back without having to go through the room and possibly wake up the kids. Overall the staff were friendly and helpful. Everything felt very clean, the rooms, all the pools, the restaurants, the beach, the washrooms. The beach was great, never felt crowded at all, sand was soft, ocean temperature was comfortable, waves were fun for kids to jump and play in. Only some pools were heated and some were colder. I saw a few people leave reviews that they weren't happy that the pools weren't all heated, but in my opinion, they definitely didnt all need to be. We loved the colder pool in the heat of the day and the heated pool after the sun went down. Kids pools very fun, my son looved the pirate ship. One of my favorite parts was the pond/boardwalk over to the man-made caves and cenote! You can jump into or swim in this cave right on the resort property, very cool. There's also a couple beautiful pools elevated above the cave with waterfalls. The buffets for dinner seemed pretty similar to other all inclusives we've stayed at, a large selection and fresh, but I much prefer the on site restaurans instead. I did love the breakfast at the buffet though. We liked almost all of the on site restaurant offerings, and don't miss out on Casa Roberto's, the authentic Mexican with the best guac and queso dip! The one thing that could make this resort better is more nightly entertainment. We missed the show on the evening we first arrived and then for the whole next week we were there, there was only 1 other short but beautiful fireshow. We would have loved to see some more dancers, etc. 5 stars from us!
