Try something different

Starlight Safari Trying something different. We are at a point in our lives that we have the time to discover more of Disney World besides the parks and rides. This tour is very limited, less than 30 people a day can take part so booking a reservation is sometimes difficult. It just depends on whether or not you are a resort guest (get to book further out). We did a staycation and arrived about 30 minutes prior, signed our waivers, took a few photos and climbed into the back of an open air yet covered (rain or shine) truck. Our guide Emily kept us safe and well informed about all of the animals on the Safari. We were up close viewing zebra, storks, antelope and giraffe to name a few. Actually they all had names and some a cute backstory. The fun part was using the night vision goggle to make them stand out even in the cover of darkness. The tour takes about 1 hour and goes by quickly moving from place to place. Enjoy!
Brilliant

The location isn’t the best as it’s away from the other parks but makes it more private sadly no included fast passes like universal but it was clean and the vibe was nice and chilled out the room had a nice balcony and was under a cover so kept dry in the rain the animals where so cool and we have been so many times plenty on places to eat we got a free dining plan so good and drink where cheap the pool was large wish the slide was bigger bus was very regular definitely recommend
Try one few days

We just stayed at this hotel it has lot of good and lot of poor points it good point is lot of wild animals to see bedrooms are nice Down side hotel is been refurbished wich presents big issues as no stairs one lift wich was not working properly due to volume of people so you end up up to 10 mins It has pool but very shallow the restaurant sit down served same food Darley so after short time food becomes boring it has fast food with 10 items on it this food leaves lot to be desired on border of edable one thing I found strange was the restaurant staff who where servers experienced tips even you only seen them once
SEN Family review - savannah review room

SEN family - Disney experienced, 8/13//42/44 Savannah view room Key things to know: - the beds are really comfortable - the air con is quite quiet and works really well - you really can eat breakfast on your balcony and watch the amazing wildlife - the toilet in with the shower is not great and a real struggle for a family of 4 - the room had a small fridge which worked great - plenty of clothes and storage space - the buses from the hotel were fabulous but very very overcrowded a lot of the time - hotel travel distance to some parks is lengthy and worth considering - the kids Simba lounge and pool are fantastic facilities our kids loved them - consider in August that outside facilities inc the pool are often closed in afternoons due to storms, and it’s really hard to know when they open back up - the hotel, lobby, restaurants etc. are all beautiful - we ate in Sanaa which was great food but it was freezing for the kids - TAKE A COAT The hotel in parts is getting a bit dated, that’s likely why other parts are being renovated.
Animal kingdom lodge, not the best

I went to animal kingdom during August of 2026. During my visit 2 fire alarms went off 1 being at around 3am and the other 5am (different days) during this time there were no staff around and everyone was waiting outside for further instructions however no staff came out and everyone just decided to go back to the room after the false alarms multiple kids were crying due to the loud noises. No explanation was given neither compensation because of these alarms I did not have the energy to rope drop. This was not the only issue as during my stay I went back to the room about 3pm more than once an most times I had to call front desk because my room was not cleaned this was extremely annoying as I had to sit in the lobby for ages. The food in the quick service was extremely mediocre most days I went to the Rivera quick service. The pool was packed as they let the locals come in, this was mainly because it’s one of the only pools you do not need your magic band to enter. The pool also shut a lot due to “maintenance and unwanted weather”.
