Coconut Court Beach Hotel is a small, friendly, family-run place in a fantastic location. Don’t expect glitzy, modern luxury — but do expect a clean, comfortable hotel that’s very well looked after. We had a ground-floor Deluxe Ocean Front Room and the view was incredible. Being on the ground floor turned out to be a win — no stairs (no lifts here) and quick access to the pool, restaurant, and beach. Pre-paid breakfast package was good value. You still sign a daily bill with a 10% service charge — we were happy to keep it as a tip for the excellent staff. Freshly cooked breakfasts were a big plus over buffet chaos. We ate at Coco’s and Jake’s Bar (both part of the hotel) — good food, good service. Themed nights are a nice touch, though the “BBQ” is really a buffet. Entertainment is low-key: singers, a weekend steel band, and karaoke if you’re brave. Plenty of beach sunbeds, and staff will move them wherever you like. Pool loungers get claimed early sometimes, but it’s not a big issue. Nearby restaurants are decent but similar — Buzo stood out as the best for us. Tried Oistins Friday Fish Fry, not for us, tacky and boisterous. Ted’s Tours is worth doing (fun but a bit of a booze cruise), and car hire via the hotel was easy. Overall: great location, lovely staff, and excellent value. Would happily return.
Discovered the secrets of Coconut Court Hotel

Our holiday was off to a good start with a warm welcome. The beach, pool and shop were just a short walk from our room. It’s a family hotel who care for their guests. We were always greeted with smiles by staff who were very helpful if needed. No early morning rush for sunbeds. Plenty of seating/sunbeds in the pool area with parasols. Almond trees provide shade on the beach. Decide how much shade or sun, place sunbed where you wish. Help available from staff if required. Shower by the steps. There is a constant depth in the sea between the beach and reef. Perfect to snorkel. The food in the main restaurant, Cocos, is beautifully presented and delicious. We also enjoyed meals at the beach café, Captain Charlie's. Highly recommend being here on Sundays when Kristle plays Steel Pan Music between 12.00 – 14.00 hrs. Smoking/Vapes – not in rooms or balcony, seating set aside at beach bar/café. Otherwise, no list of rules. Entertainment – listed on room tv and several places around hotel. At hotel entrance is a shop. A second-hand book rack is outside the shop, books sold for a small fee, which goes to animal charity. Champers Restaurant is a short taxi ride from hotel. Its location is beautiful. As we entered the attractive dining area, ahead was a stunning sunset which we continued to admire from our table, plus listening to the sea which surrounds this area. All the courses were beautifully presented and full of flavour. Finally - we would like to thank all the staff for their kindness to name a few - Sophia, Katy, Maria, Martha, Terence, Heddy, Ean, Kamisha, Rhianna, Jabari and separately, Marsha. I can see why so many people return and we will definitely return.

Just returned from a great time with a group of friends from the Coconut Court and we had a great holiday. It was our fourth visit. Rooms a bit basic but very functional and Air Con worked ! I had a superior view room with views to die for. All the staff are fabulous all very professional and more importantly had a smile on their faces at all times. We all took advantage of the happy hours and 241 offers, and the food from the beach bar was good. The location of the hotel is great immediately on a golden beach , with a few great bars along the coast on the beach, Chill bar, Blakeys for example. Went into Jakes most nights for a few Rums and again the service was second to none with great music being played most nights.Pool was great with sunbed service so didnt have to move to get a drink.. Eat out a few nights with the Fish Pott, Champers ,Tapas and Buzo being our favourites and Jakes ribs were very good. All in all the eight of us had a great time and we will return without a doubt. Well done to all at the Coconut Court , management, please pass our comments to all the staff please
Bad Management

On the 28 of Februari 2026 we had booked a 3 days stay at the Coconut Court Beach Hotel in Christ Church/Hastings on Barbados. From there we were moving on to our 2 weeks cruise and afterwards return again to this hotel for another 4 days. When we entered our room we were instantly disappointed. We stepped onto our balcony and the view we had was mostly on unattractive rooftops of the hotels restaurant, kitchen, staff quarters, solar panels etc. See pictures. Because we were really tired of all the travelling we decided not to make a fuzz about it. What we usually love to do is sitting on our balcony and enjoy the view. But in this case we really couldn’t enjoy sitting outside because of the depressing view… When we left after 3 days we mentioned at the Frontdesk that we were not happy with the view and that we would like a better room when we would return in 2 weeks time. Yesterday on the 17th of March 2026 we have returned to the hotel and guess what. They gave us a room in the same building (there are 4 buildings), at exactly the same Location. Only difference is that we were on the First Floor during our previous stay and now they had moved us to the fourth Floor. So I went to the frontdesk and asked to speak to the Manager on Duty: Terrence Joseph. After 10 minutes he finally came out of his office and merely looking at his body Language and the arrogant way hé looked at me I could already predict how this conversation would go… I introduced myself (he did Not Return the courtesy by the way), stayed calm and explained to him that I was disappointed in our rooms view. I mentioned during our previous visit we had accepted that but now we would like to have a room with a proper view, preferrably Not overlooking rooftops. He mentioned we had booked a room with „Partial oceanview“ and the room we got offered exactly that. So we got what we paid for, period! I was stunned by his arrogant attitude and at this Point I got somewhat irritated. I showed him my reservation from our travel Agency which Clearly mentioned „Ocean view“, without any mentioning of „partial“. He was totally Not impressed and said my small Travel Agency had probably purchased that room from some reseller. Where I live (The Netherlands) this Travel Agency is Well known and has an outstanding Reputation. But the Guy just did Not Care and on top of that, again , this condescending attitude… Usually hotel staff gets a hospitality Education, but obviously this is not mandatory in this hotel. And usually it is the Managers Job to Listen to a customers complaint and try to solve it in Order for the customer to be happy. Well, none of that! Hé acted like he owned the Place and that I should be very happy that I was allowed to stay Here. As I was trying to get through to him I mentioned we had paid 2650 Euro (3100 USD) for a stay of 7 days in total in this hotel. That is Not exactly a bargain and I expected a bit more than this. At that Point he turned his back to me and started walking away saying he would See what he could do. I waited for about 15 min. and then another employee walked up to me saying he would help me carrying my suitcases to my room??? The manager was nowhere to be Seen at that moment. No explanation given, nothing. So we dragged our suitcases upstairs to the fourth floor and there was the Manager, waiting for us. He had given us a room 3 Doors to the left. So now we would Not be watching rooftops from the Side but from the middle… For the last time I attempted to talk to him in a calm way but he sticked to his previous extremely customer unfriendly attitude. So he left me No Choice. I mentioned I would file a complaint with my Travel Agency and he smiled and even encouraged me to do so. Since they, or I, had made a mistake and certainly not the hotel. What a pity that staff Like this can destroy the Overall positive Impression we had of the hotel, the Location, the Food and the Majority of friendly Staff members. For sure we will return to Barbados because we really love it! But for sure we Will never be visiting Coconut Court Beach hotel anymore. You really made sure of that Terrence! It would have been so easy for you to make us happy, but I guess that is Not the kind of Person and „manager“ you Are.
