Beautiful place but we wish it were even more eco-friendly

H S on Mar 13, 2026

Beautiful place and the accommodations are spacious. Our only criticism is that this place is not eco-friendly. In such a beautiful place, you would expect you’d expect to see recycling bins. Also, we went to the beach party, and I was pretty grossed out and sad that there was a pig on a skewer. Finally, there is a great deal of sargassum everywhere. The sargassum, combined with so much trash and plastic all over Placencia, bums us out because Belize is such a beautiful country. We recognized that the sargassum is not Belize’s fault, but it’s just sad to see.

Naia Resort offers magical and majestic LUXURY!

Kristi D (Kimberly, Idaho) on Mar 09, 2026

Naia resort was just what we were looking for! It is absolutely magical. Our beach front bungalow was truly breathtaking. It was immaculate, well kept, looked brand new even though it is ten years old and sooooo spacious. The bed was super comfortable, lots of pillows and soft cotton bedding. The outdoor shower was the best!!!!! Oh, if only we could have one at home. Housekeeping came every day and did a splendid job. We are neat freaks and it was just perfect! The grounds are meticulously cared for and truly magnificent! Such a treat to walk out of the bungalow straight to the ocean. The staff and all the employees are sooooo friendly and helpful. They were just a delight to be around. In fact, I asked the gentleman at the front desk to open up the gift shop for me so that I could purchase some aloe vera gel for a pretty bad sunburn...he quickly opened it and I picked up the bottle of gel and he asked if I would prefer the all-natural route. Of course I was delighted to and within two minutes he was back with a beautiful piece of an aloe vera plant that they grow by their little greenhouse. It was truly a lifesaver - first time I have burned that bad and NOT blistered!!!! And the FOOD!!!!! The food is amazing!!!!! Compliments to the chef!!!! The waiters are super nice too and genuinely concerned about your experience - each and every meal. They are truly experts at their craft. We didn't even leave the resort once because it was so perfect and relaxing.

Want to go back!

Catie C (Arkansas) on Feb 28, 2026

Our stay at Naïa Resort and Spa was everything you want in a luxury beach escape — peaceful, private, and beautifully designed without feeling overdone. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and genuine. The staff made us feel taken care of in a way that felt personal, not scripted. The beachfront villas are stunning!!!spacious, airy, and just steps from the water. Waking up to the sound of the ocean in Placencia is something I won’t forget anytime soon. And the food? Fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully curated. Every meal felt elevated but still relaxed — exactly what you want on vacation. What truly sets Naïa apart is the balance: luxury without pretension, privacy without isolation. It’s perfect for couples, honeymooners, or anyone wanting to unplug in a setting that feels intimate and intentional. Already dreaming about going back.

Beautiful Belize

laura181739 (Simcoe, Canada) on Feb 24, 2026

Having always wanted to experience Belize, now that we’ve been to Naia we simply cannot wait to go back! I have ridiculous food allergies/sensitivities and require gluten-free, dairy-free . . . there are too many to list here! Our travel agent specializes in food freaks like me, so we were excited to find a subdued and stunning boutique hotel that aims to please, on many levels. We visited for a week in November/December 2025. Naia was brilliant, with every interaction. All the staff were professional, friendly, and seemed to enjoy their role. In fact, many shared that it is their pleasure to preform their jobs well to ensure happy guests, and this was quite evident. All of the good comments about this gorgeous place are true. As my review is more food-focused, I will jump to the personal accolades. Chef Anthony (he IS a chef’s kiss with his generous and kind attention to ensure I did not get sick), sous chef Fernando, Kenneth,Johnny,Julian,Juan, Corina Emanuel, Manuel, and a few others in the restaurant we may have forgotten. The kitchen management at every level checked in with me to ensure I was fed well. Kayak hut Johnny, maintenance, security, and housekeeping staff, the drivers including Wilson. All.The.Staff. Are exemplary and go above and beyond to ensure guests are well taken care of. The best gluten free bread (homemade, even!) l I’ve eaten in any country for the past 30 years. Same for the handmade tortilla. The baker is exemplary. Great guacamole. The food was delicious, fresh, at times organic, some of it grown on the property. Amazing. My many food allergies (including Celiac Disease) were catered to with utmost care and concern. The accommodations, tours, bar menu… The beauty of the people, the country, the animals…(so much wildlife to enjoy on the beach and from our verandah). 65% of the land is protected as is the wildlife. everyone we encountered from the tarmac and onward. The people of Belize are extraordinary.

Beautiful, Friendly, Relaxing

John S on Feb 19, 2026

My wife and I just returned from Belize and our stay at Naia. Naia is a fantastic resort with an amazing staff and fantastic food. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. And personable. We stayed in a beachside studio. It was clean, well kept, and had an amazing view. The entire resort was quiet. It was extremely relaxing. Thank you to Naia for a great stay!
