I chose this hotel for my mandatory government three day stay. The hotel staff are cold and didn't even make eye contact, just rushed to check me in and check me out.
The hotel room itself was decent, and fairly clean. I had some stains on the floor and chair that I thought were unacceptable but just cleaned them myself.
My biggest complaint is the FOOD! I got to the hotel just in time for dinner, which I chose chicken fingers and fries as I didn't really care what I ate due to being tired from traveling. Fries were cold and hard as a rock, chicken fingers were lukewarm at best. I figured it was just because of the late check in and shrugged it off.
Breakfast was the most disappointing meal. A stale grocery store bagel, one tiny package of cream cheese, a gigantic muffin, raisin bread, cheap yogurt and hard boiled eggs. That is such a cheap, disgusting breakfast to serve people that are isolated to their room. I'm shocked this is government approved as this doesn't even come close to meeting Canada's food guide. All of the other food selections were nasty pub food: chicken wings, chicken fingers, hamburger, fish and chips etc. The options for sides are fries or salad. The salad consisted of soggy lettuce with a dressing not of your choice and an entire white onion as the "vegetables".
I ordered the chicken clubhouse one day and I thought I was going to lose an incisor as the bun was SO stale!
Moral or the story: If I stayed there any longer I would have been the star of "My 600 lb life" on TLC. I have never eaten so many carbs in three days! Banking a nice profit on $250 a night cuz it isn't being spent on decent food for guests.
Poor housekeeping in quarantine hotel

When I checked in the room had not been vacuumed/cleaned in advance. There we crumbs, dirt, nail clippings, etc. on the carpet and window ledge. Bathroom wall and living area draws had not been cleaned and had spills that has not been wiped. As this is a covid 19 quarantine hotel I had expected a higher level of cleanliness. When I advised the front desk they apologized and provided me with a new room. This room had also not been cleaned. The front desk apologized again and sent a housekeeper to vacuum and clean the first room and provided me with a pack of disinfecting wipes I could use on high touch surfaces. The front desk were sympathetic and understood my frustration. They advised they are dealing with challenges to hire and retain housekeeping staff and did not charge me to for the one night I stayed.

This is an average rating Hyatt in my experience. I love Hyatt but this location have some opportunities to be better and hope they fix it soon. First impression is important and this location did not live to the Hyatt expectation in my eyes however, it doesn't mean that all Hyatt is the same. I will stay continue to book with Hyatt in the future. Just like I said, you are only good as the last visit.

Generally fine. The hotel is new, and so are the staff. Quiet property. Food is alright. Staff are ok.

Everything was great, could have used more variety for free breakfast items Great staff hotel was clean we were happy with the overall experience will be back hopefully in a short time for another adventure in another city but stay loyal with hyatt
