Nice Hotel in a Great Location

We stayed in a Mountain View Premium King room. It was quiet, comfortable and clean with a great view of the mountains. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Our stay at the Malcolm was wonderful. The staff was super friendly and hospitable. The housekeeping and turndown service was exceptional. The room was clean, modern, and lovely. The hotel has a quiet location, but was near enough to restaurants and shops...walkable. The view is fantastic. The only issue that we had was at the restaurant with an inattentive/lackluster waiter, who charged us for an extra meal and then wasn't at all apologetic when we had to come back to rectify the situation. The hotel desk helped with the situation. Thanks for a great stay though, Malcolm!

The Malcolm was absolutely stunning- everything about it was perfect!!! We could not have found a better place 2 stay! Their staff is top-notch!??
Zero Stars—Don’t Stay Here!

We’re staying here for the next few days to hopefully put an exclamation point to our Canadian Rockies vacation, or so we thought. It’s a great hotel in an amazing location but that was it. We left to continue our adventures the following day after we checked in. When we got back to the hotel both our keys would not work. I went down to the front desk to get it sorted when I was informed that we’ve been moved to another room. We were then asked to move our belongings to the new room with one of their bellhops to which I complied to do since it’s already been a long day. When we opened the new room, to our surprise, all our belongings were already there. We asked the bellhop if we were able to access our old room to retrieve our passports and check if any of our valuables were left behind. When we got to our previous room, our passports were missing. I went down to the lobby to inform the front desk staff of the situation. The staff was not aware that our things have been moved and the safe has been accessed without our consent — no one called us/ left a message or even a text to make us aware. None of their staff could provide a reason for the transfer, for the removal of our passports from the safe, and the handling of our belongings and valuables. No one could provide an answer why we were never informed prior to any of this, and why they felt it was okay to do so without our expressed consent. As guests, my wife and I feel violated and disrespected. As consumers we know our rights were wrongfully violated. As of this post, I’m still waiting to hear back from management what their explanation is for this incomprehensible incident.

Canmore is lovely and the Malcolm hotel is a great place to stay. Rooms are spacious and the restaurant is excellent. Lots to explore
