A beautiful hotel that cares deeply about the experience that it offers its guests with large, well appointed rooms and food of the highest quality in its restaurants. We have stayed here twice and note that our experience has improved each time.

The Malcolm Hotel was an outstanding host location for our board retreat. From the initial planning stages through to final checkout, their team delivered top-tier service that made the entire process feel effortless. They were consistently engaged, flexible, and accommodating — even as plans evolved and timelines shifted. I made numerous changes and pushed a few deadlines, and at no point did the team show anything other than professionalism and calm competence. Their attention to detail and responsiveness truly stood out, and I would not hesitate to recommend The Malcolm Hotel for executive-level meetings and retreats.

The hotel is surrounded by the beautiful Rocky Mountains in Canmore. Canmore is about 10 minutes from the Banff National Park and only 15 minutes from downtown Banff. The staff are very friendly. The cleaning and maintenance staff are very quick to address any concerns. The front desk is staffed 24/7 by very polite and friendly staff. There’s a concierge service to greet you upon arrival The hotel has very secure underground parking. The hotel has an open air hot tub and pool with an exercise room and games area close by. There’s a beautiful gift and coffee shop near the main lobby. The lobby also has a beautiful and warm gas fireplace to enjoy a quiet morning or evening coffee by. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. The rooms are very nice and quite comfortable. You have your own private balcony to sit outside a watch a beautiful sunrise or sunset. We had a wonderful stay—great location, beautiful views, and such friendly staff. It was very welcoming and perfect for kids too!

Spent the weekend for easter and loved the acitvites they planned for the kids in the hotel. We loved their outdoor pool and hot tub.
