Perfect visit!

Superb hotel in a great town. Room was quality throughout with views which would be hard to beat anywhere in the world. Staff friendly and provided service over and above. We were going to stay in Banff but thought The Malcom offered better value - best decision ever!
Disappointing "Upgraded" View – Mostly a Convention Center Roof

When you pay extra to upgrade your room for a view, you expect a vista that is worth the price. The only "good" news was that The Malcolm Hotel didn't charge us extra for a panoramic view of their convention center roof. Coming directly from stays at the Prince of Wales Hotel and Moraine Lake Lodge, our expectations for mountain scenery were high. Unfortunately, our "upgraded" view at The Malcolm was mostly comprised of rooftop. For the price point, this was a huge disappointment.
Our Favourite Canmore Hotel

We have stayed in many locations in Canmore but The Malcolm is by far the best. The accommodations and amenities are excellent and the staff is among the best we have ever interacted with. The location is ideal because it offers amazing natural views from all rooms while being an easy walk along scenic trails to the main street.
Four night family stay

We had a great four night stay at the hotel. Everyone was very helpful. We would definitely stay again if we came to the area.

Enjoyed our visit. Restaurant and service we received over dinner very good as were outdoor areas. Convenient for downtown
