We chose this resort because we absolutely Loved Live Aqua Cancún, they are both great in their own ways. DEVOSSION staff is amazing as expected considering they are through Live Aqua. The food was excellent, the room clean no mold or plumbing issues hot water 24/7 . They give you a schedule of the activities and restaurants times hold on to it or take a pic. Lots of place to post up by the pool or beach so no waiting around to enjoy a spot by either. Erick was the activity person from gym classes like Pilates , kayaking ,bike tours to fun activities like corn hole, volleyball and all types of tournaments. Andres oversaw the art activities, mixology classes ect. They both had great energy good vibes and lots of fun. Lizzie was such a sweetheart she worked at the cafe and was a great help in taking care of my wife on our last day- she was very hungover ??. Edgar also worked at the cafe he offered great service. Oswaldo from Liberi was our favorite waiter he truly goes above and beyond to make your visit as comfortable as possible and very enjoyable conversation. DJ Rocha is on point with the music I would see every single person souls come to life when he took over , every one dancing and singing.Overall there was just great people working there. One recommendation would be to the female DJ during the day the music she played constantly was what I call headache music and I wasn’t the only guest who thought so, she should at least take a break from it and put some relaxing unwinding music if not light dance music. Rave music is not for everyone especially all day long non stop. Other than that it was perfect. I am very happy I brought in another year of life at this resort.

Recently attended my sister's destination birthday celebration at Devossion by Live Aqua Playa del Carmen, an all adult -all inclusive facility that was fabulous. From service, to restaurants, facilities, room sizes and amenities all was very well done. Each day we started with a Yoga class with Anna as our instructor. One day we even had yoga on the beach. During the day there were a host of activities to engage those who wanted to participate. The pool area is plentiful with lounges and cabanas, plus attentive staff. At night it's a bit more subdued. They have a small venue "The Speakeasy", hosting a combination of live music or DJ for dancing. There is a serious problem with the seaweed (Sargassum). While there are crews working on it all the time, the problem comes from West Africa driven by nutrient pollution, warm waters, ocean currents and etc. As a result, you might consider alternatives such as the Cenotes, (spring fed sinkholes as deep as 40'), which we did. Xcaret is the park most often visited, but there are others a lot closer. We visited 3 Cenotes by Extreme Adventures and had a blast. Bring your water shoes, and biodegradable sunscreen. While there we also, visited 5th Avenue and walked to the end by the ferry port to Cozumel.

Ceviche class, Bike tour, and Water aerobics was amazing. Class was so informative, fresh food, and just overall great vibe. Ceviche was incredible as well. Bike tour was also phenomenal. Bikes were comfortable, tour was informative and not hard to do at all. Aerobics was great. First time and I would do again. Got a little workout with great views and great instructor.

Long one, worth the read! My husband and I had booked this resort as a last minute getaway for our wedding anniversary. We have visited Mexico over 10 times along with the Dominican Republic, Aruba, and the Bahamas. We never visit the same resort twice but this place may be the exception due to the staff alone. We booked a swim up suite but upon arrival were offered an Elixir Suite with plunge pool for an extra charge. This upgrade included Butler service, two massages, reserved teepee for two days, a reserved cabana for a day and access to the club lounge. We splurged and did the upgrade as we were celebrating! First of all, I’d like to recognize the staff. Roberto in the Speakeasy and Marcella in the club lounge are hands down not only the best two employees at your resort, they are the best two employees we’ve encountered ANYWHERE in all of our vacation travels, both internationally and domestic. Both went above and beyond with service. Marcella had great suggestions for drinks to try and they were fantastic! She was so engaging and welcoming and we looked forward to visiting her each evening before dinner. What a gem we would have missed out on without having access to the club lounge! Roberto truly loves making cocktails for you and it shows! His drinks were one of a kind and the presentation was off the hook. He’s so passionate about his craft! The speakeasy was a must visit each night after dinner simply to have a one of a kind cocktail and amazing conversation with him. Even when busy, he made you feel like you were his most important guest-incredible! I’d also like to mention the following staff who made our stay so memorable. Mauricio (Head Butler), Alexis (Butler), Erik (Entertainment Team), Raul (Pool waiter) with his partners Ady and Darcia always bringing us buckets of ice with waters and beers and cocktails along with excellent food you can order poolside, which was so convenient if you didn’t want to go eat lunch in one of the restaurants. We didn’t participate in a lot of activities because we wanted to relax but there were plenty of activities to do if you wanted to. We did the finger panting canvas and the cocktail competition and both were fantastic and fun! The canvas made a nice souvenir to bring home. One night there was live music near the lobby bar which was excellent! We also enjoyed the DJ in the Speakeasy. The spa is not to be missed! We had a wonderful massage for 50 minutes and then were able to use the facilities after. It was so relaxing and such an amazing time! The food was excellent! From room service (we ordered a few times once for breakfast, dinner on our first night and a late night treat) to poolside (chicken quesadillas, wings with potato wedges and the Caesar chicken tacos) the breakfast buffet had so many choices and was hot and fresh to Italian for dinner (get the pizza and the gnocchi) and the Steakhouse for dinner (the filet and truffle fries were so good)! Cocktails were made with fresh juices, top shelf liquor if requested and were not watered down. They also had plenty of wine and beer to choose from. We went to 5th avenue one evening and it was super convenient and close. The ferry is also nearby if you want to visit Cozumel! The seaweed is very bad right now in all areas of Mexico we heard. The pools were never crowded and there was an activity pool if you wanted to participate or quiet pools for some relaxation. Plenty of lounge chairs to be had-no towel game here! We truly had a wonderful getaway here! I really hope the resort recognizes its employees mentioned as they made this vacation what it was-so special!

Erick is a fantastic activity director! Carlos is the best bartender EVER! The staff at this resort is excellent. I never wanted for anything.
