Great hotel. Clean & well maintained rooms.

Attended a wedding Edmonton with most of the out of town guests staying at the hotel. We checked in a Little after 12 noon with day supervisor Teju I think was his name. They charged us $25 for early check in. Not have been at a double tree Hilton. He advised ahead of the extra charge . Even when I nicely requested a concession as the wedding ceremony started at 4:30. He said we can wait for 2 hours if we want . Yikes on the option offered. I think he had an autopilot answer . No discretion and judgement for supervisory role. Unless this is Hilton management direction. Really curious. I know it’s their policy but first time I had a hotel charge extra for checking in early when room is available. A bit off putting . Really too bad because one of the nicest looking doubletrees with Hilton name attached to it . It left a bad taste .

Have been coming to this hotel since 1991 when it was the Mayfield. Never had a negative experience ever. Everyone is so accommodating and respectful. Special shout out to two ladies who always remember and always smiling, Eta and Wube.

I booked a room with 2 queen beds for Friday night,and when we arrived the lady informed us that they upgraded our room to a king room.I told her my daughter is with us and needed a bed.I asked her if the room has a sofa? No she said,I’ll get the manager.so I guess they gave our room to someone else,they were booked up,didn’t contact us to ask if it was ok to change rooms.So the manager calls over to the sister hotel next door and switches rooms with another quest,says sorry and sends us over the the other hotel.we go over there,not at all the same level of hotel I paid for,which was $363 for a night!! I go down to the front desk and ask the lady if they are going to compensate us,she phones over to the double Tree and he tells her he we give us 10 percent off our next stay and a free upgrade.What a horrible experience.If I booked that hotel a week before I would have paid $180.

Excellent staff, from the front desk to housekeeping everyone was friendly, smiling and helpful. Bed was comfortable, junior suite with king bed , lots of room to move around. Dining table with 2 chairs, couch, large TV, coffee maker, mini fridge and safe. Very quiet hotel, didn't hear doors slamming at all!
