Sandals Grenada - The BEST!
Nedra M on Mar 28, 2026
We, once again, had an exceptional vacation at Sandals Grenada. We had a two week stay in February which was our 13th visit to this amazing resort. Needless to say, we love Grenada! As usual the accommodations and grounds were immaculately kept. Housekeeping was exceptional. A very special thank you to Elson in housekeeping. He kept our pool and patio in tip-top shape but more importantly was the kindest and most professional young man; butler quality personality! Speaking of butlers, we were looked after by the premier butler team of Neron, Kervin and Brent. They always take excellent care of us which makes us feel completely pampered and at home. They always take care of our every need and genuinely care about making our vacation perfect. The towel animals, afternoon snacks, oatmeal cookies and refreshing coconut water were just a couple of the special touches we enjoyed many days. I still get teary-eyed when I read the little notes we would find when we returned to our room in the evening. I will cherish these loving notes forever (thank you Brent). All three of these young men provide the highest level of service and somehow always exceed our expectations. They exemplify what Sandals is all about. A very important part of this resort for us is the dive crew which is led by the famous Curtis Bailey and his most able assistant Ann Marie. Shandy efficiently takes care of the check-ins, always smiling when doing so. Such a kind gentleman! This exceptional team is definitely the best Sandals has to offer. They are safety conscious, incredibly professional and take care of your every need. Prince was our dive leader most days, he is top notch! Adrian and Tyrone, extraordinary dive guides and consummate gentlemen, led us on a couple of wonderful dives. A special shout out to Kimron, a newer member of the team. He assisted the divers on the boat and made sure we were taken care of at every step. He is truly everything that Sandals represents, and we are excited to see his career progress with Sandals. The entire dive staff, as well as Captains Shawn and Rendon, are phenomenal! We attended two Diamond lunches during our stay. To say the cuisine was fabulous is probably understating the facts. Our meals were most delicious at both seatings. I would compare the lunches to Michelin Star meals we have had in the United States. If you are a Diamond guest, don’t miss these outstanding lunches. The food at this Sandals is the best Sandals has to offer. Matthew, the Food and Beverage Director, has assembled an outstanding team of excellent chefs and restaurant staff. We enjoy Butches, Le Jardinier, Soy, and Cocina. Neptunes for lunch was our go to every day. A special thank you to Nakisha. We’re looking forward to seeing her in a management position one day. She definitely goes above and beyond and is another employee that represents the Sandals brand with perfection! Her genuine kindness is unparalleled. Thank you as well to Ariel and Noline at Cocina, Vincent and Dyvonte at Soy, Nathanial and Corlian at Neptunes, and Akada and Vanester at Le Jardinier. With that said, service at all restaurants is stellar so a special thank you to all food and beverage staff. The entertainment at night is high level. Jaz does an outstanding job overseeing it all. The Fire and Water show was fabulous, and the Valentine special evening was perfection. Make sure you don’t miss Sway Jawn singing his heart out at the South Seas Bar. He has an incredible voice. Another highlight for us was the Pack for a Purpose/Reading Road Trip excursion. The Sandals Foundation Reading Road Trip takes you to a local school to read to a classroom of excited young students. We brought some school supplies and books for the little kiddos at the elementary school we visited. It was so worth taking a few hours to spend with these little ones. They will touch your heart with their smiles and hugs. It is such a rewarding experience which I will cherish forever. Bottom line – the primary reason we return year after year is the staff. Peter Fraser oversees a topnotch operation. We so very much appreciate all the staff. Every employee is friendly, welcoming, thoughtful and accommodating. To all the staff, thank you for sharing your beautiful island with us and for your unmatched hospitality. We’ll see you in a few months when we return to our home away from home!
Unmatched Hospitality and Service - Sandals Grenada
DeeLaune on Mar 28, 2026
Our stay at Sandals Grenada was nothing short of exceptional—truly an experience that elevated our perception of what a luxury all-inclusive resort can be. The entire operation is remarkably well run, with a level of hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine warmth that sets this resort apart. Every single team member we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and deeply committed to making our stay unforgettable. A very special thank you to our incredible butler team—Mikhail, Alex, Nordica, and Mikey—who went above and beyond in every possible way. From thoughtful surprises and beautifully arranged settings to sourcing authentic local dishes, snacks, and drinks, they anticipated our needs before we even knew them ourselves. Their warmth, energy, and impeccable service made us feel completely pampered and at home. We are also so grateful to Shannel for consistently checking in and ensuring that every aspect of our stay was seamless and perfect. Kareem deserves a special mention for crafting exceptional drinks while keeping us entertained with his attentiveness and humor. Akida at the front desk welcomed us with such genuine kindness, setting the tone from the very beginning. A heartfelt thank you to Kamasha (hopefully spelled correctly) for outstanding dinner service at Neptune’s paired with such wonderful energy. We also want to acknowledge the many incredible team members working behind the scenes—housekeeping, kitchen staff, and all pool and beach service and many more—whose hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed and truly make this resort run at such a high level. Thank you as well to Anslee for getting us set up with kayaks and treating us to refreshing coconut water after—such a thoughtful touch. And finally, thank you to John for helping us plan and book our return—yes, we have already booked our next trip to Sandals Grenada for 2028, which says it all. We cannot wait to be back.
Sandals wedding and honeymoon
Sarah J on Mar 28, 2026
We had such an unbelievable experience at sandals Grenada, we got married there, Zina and Salisha were so amazing to make sure our every need was met. Shelly was our videographer and did an incredible job capturing our ceremony, Diron was our photographer and made sure we felt comfortable so our pictures looked perfect! The dive team there is unmatched, Cleveland was SO helpful with making sure our masks were in tip top shape to dive, and Prince and Zade made our dives safe and fun. Shawn was the captain and got us to the dive sites and was very personable as well. Aslee took us out on the hobi cat and did a wonderful job !! Cheryl made sure our room was clean everyday. Our favorite bartender was Hakeem at the party pool to make the best drinks and made sure we were having a good time. These wonderful people made our wedding and honeymoon unforgettable. We will DEFINITELY be back
Enjoyed our holiday but would not return
David S (London) on Mar 28, 2026
Overall we enjoyed our holiday but did not feel it lived up to the hype. In context we were looking for a "snowbird" destination for ourselves in January to escape the worst of British winters - so a much longer stay than the typical 5/6 days. So this was a pilot for Sandals with our 16 day stay in March but we did not judge it to have met the mark afterwards that would warrant a longer stay in 2027 Winter I'll split this review into 3 sections - what was excellent/good; what was poor and some practical tips What was excellent/good * some really lovely staff - too many to mention - but Housekeeping in Pink Gin Village;"Kisses" on the beach;the Neptunes team and the Gardeners ! * Its a fine resort on the eye with the wonderful flowers and impeccably kept grounds - the exception is the "Duck Pond" which looks more like a swamp [ you would'nt drink the water] *what a wonderful place Grenada is too ! * some really good food in Neptunes;Soy;Le Jardinier and Cucina [ best for breakfast too imho !] * although not a diver I heard some very positive remarks about the dive shop from fellow guests * evening drinks in the South seas pool bar and the Tipsy Turtle *last but definitely not least ! Cafe de Paris. Some lovely staff and everything from early morning tea, pastries, afternoon coffee and dessert ! Practical tips * do use the online Grenada customs form. If you do ,when you arrive at the airport you'll be diverted to a kiosk where we got through in minutes - as opposed to very long paper based queue's. Look for online Immigration and Customs Form Grenada * UK centric here [ sorry ] both Virgin Atlantic and BA use the "IAM jet Centre" for lounge access prior to the flight home. Check in as normal at the BA/VA bag drop and you'll be taken on a buggy to the lounge. Its ok for drinks/crisps but no buffet or food What was not so good * it is true that Sunbeds get reserved early - very early in some cases.Coming from GMT time I was up early anyway [ around 0630am ] and loved the few hours as the day began with a cup of tea [ thanks Cafe de Paris ! ] enjoying the wonderful vista that Grenada is. But , even at 0630 , the Quiet pool [ Pink Gin ] was always completely reserved by Butlers and also a few very early birds determined to get their preferred seats [ they must be up very early ! ] with the towel clips and other beach paraphenalia ! Same goes for the beach front next to the Pool. * There are not enough Sun Umbrellas [ see my photo ] So if you do come later in the day - as we did once - we asked the Beach team if they could get us an umbrella. They do try to help. Instead he took the reserved "Butler Elite" sign off the table and gave the chairs to us as the folks had never turned up [ there is a policy that allows staff to do this ]. Of course the folks did roll up sometime later and we were subject to some dagger glares and "stolen sunbed" type remarks. Not pleasant * it feels a little cramped near the main pools - and probably could do with another pool in the resort * a few times we did encounter ,lets say, 'raised eyebrows' from the server when we asked for clean cutlery after our appetizer - Spices. Sandals is far from a low budget joint to have to worry about the washing up. *worst of all was the closure of the Pink Gin deck area for "temporary Maintenance" - and the attached letter said 17th through Saturday 21st March. But when we left on 25th March they were still working on it [ twice the stated time !! ] so there was drilling, hammering and sawing for 8 days while they removed the foundations/built new ones with between 4-8 people working on it from 9-5. That of course could have been the length of some folks trip. I did hear some harsh words aimed at a Butler as a result [ not their fault though ! ] from an irate guest In writing this review I have tried to be both fair and balanced with praising many of the attributes of Sandals Grenada plus criticism where I feel its due, lets not forget the price paid either , so that I may help you dear reader make a call on whether it is for you - or not. In our case we wanted to love Sandals Grenada but would not return for the reasons I've outlined above .
Sheer class

Just returned from our 3rd visit to Sandals Grenada. Everything was fantastic. Highly recommended. In particular I want to mention some very special staff members who went above and beyond.Augustine, Lennon and Kedeem, wonderful guys. Jozel Neptune’s bar, exceptional.Farnel, she is just everywhere and so helpful. Kesron, pub, so, so helpful. Kisselle and Lerona ,always on the move.Marlon, pub. All were marvellous. One staff member which we thought was not up to the mark was Lauren, guest services, not very understanding and seemed to drink more than be helpful.
